Whatever happened to the side menu in the wiki?
It is rather impossible to navigate the wiki without it...

Thanks for reporting :) I suspect it's an issue with caching. I'll have a look later.

I guess we didn't solve this?
Is there any active development going on here these days?
i.e. is there any idea to work on content?

We've solved it temporarily, just now did something again, let's see how long it will last.

We are waiting, as almost always. The biggest problem we have is the forum-wiki bridge that logs you in on wiki when you are logged in on forums. The bridge only works with the version of XF and MediaWiki we are currently running. If we upgrade either forum or wiki it will stop working. It probably just needs tiny changes that are easy to implement for a coder but we don't have one :( So the idea was to wait for XenForo 2.0 and then get someone to update the wiki bridge, but XF 2.0 took longer and longer and longer. But now it's relatively close to release :) So the plan is in probably this order:
    • wait for XF 2.0 & essential add-ons
    • get XF 2.0
    • get forum wiki bridge done
    • update MediaWiki to latest version
    • update wiki extensions
    • switch to https
    • optimize performance
    • fix everything that will be broken (incl. fixing the sidebar problem permanently)
    • resume active development
As for content, one approach might be exploiting the strengths of the system more than we did in the past, for example more content-rich guides than item comparison tables. Maybe more new player focus than catering the veterans. All the beginners guides could have an overhaul anyway. What I think would be great are instance guides, with text, maps, videos, to help you preparing before you run it. Just an idea.

I think I've found a workaround we can use until we'll proceed with the plan illustrated in the post above (first step in that plan is finally done).
