For a mainly news oriented site, like CNN, NOTW, BBC, etc, what do people think is the most important aspect? Is it the static text/images; the active content like video clips and news ticker feeds, or the fully interactive features like forums, boards, blogs?
I regularly use Google's news, because I like the way it aggregates up all the related stories. If you're familiar with the BBC's news service, you rarely get an unbiased opinion around subjects like politics, climate change etc. So using Google's news you can quickly see lots of similar stories that may have a slightly 'different take' on the story.
Thanks everyone; Yep, very funny UnaAlconbury - I know it's news :P Only kidding, taken in the manner intended.:D I'm just trying to guage what it is about a news oriented site that would keep ppl comming back - i.e, the static content if it's worth reading and well presented, or is active content like video clips, etc, essential... I also like the way Google news puts articles together, MSNBC is also good...
