12 Dec 2006 Take a look at some of the upcoming features in Version Update 8.8 Shopping Malls Three brand new multi-story Shopping Malls are to be introduced on Calypso. These new Shopping Malls will be located in Port Atlantis, Twin Peaks and at a new outpost on Amethera called Emerald Lakes (coords: 14070, 25100). In conjunction with the release of VU 8.8, the three Shopping Malls will be made available for purchase through the public auction. Private Signs & Screens Together with the introduction of Shopping Malls on Calypso, and the recent increased interest in participant owned shops, a range of new Signs and Screens will be available from VU 8.8. Signs will be able to display preloaded images and static text. Screens will be able to show preloaded images and dynamic text. The crafted Signs and Screens will come in a range of different shapes and sizes, including flat mounted and side mounted models. An operating panel similar to that of the current Ad Screens will allow administration of the Signs and Screens. Advertising from Massive Inc. and particpant created advertising will not be displayed on these Signs and Screens. All content for these private Signs and Screens will be created from the already included images and participant created text.
