VU 8.5 Coming Features22 Jun 2006 Action Icons & Keyboard Mapping The upcoming VU 8.5 will involve considerable improvements to the User Interface. A new layout will include completely customizable keyboard mapping features, and the ability to create unlimited desktop icons. These enhancements will allow participants faster and easier control over their avatars. Avatar Enhancement Continuing to make the appearance and proportions of avatars more realistic, enhancements have been made to remove small glitches that could appear through certain combinations of clothing or armor.
hmmm weird:-k not sure if i like that or not ...my initial reaction is not all that positive... guess we will have to wait and see (edit: wanted to add more) I'm wondering just how we're supposed to actually see what we're doing if we scatter icons everywhere
I'm not all that positive either... i like my funtionkeys pretty much as they are, but hey, maybe it works out just fine and I may not be wanting to switch back ever...
The current Quickbar can be set to use either function keys , or the number keys as shown in the picture. I hope that this new system still allows the choice to put quick select items onto the function keys. I am guessing that the picture shows the set-up menus for the new system. I think (hope) that once you have set your keys, you won't need all those icons scattered on the screen. :search: :search: :search: ( these Search smilies have no relevance to this article, I just liked them and the face they show at the end hehe )
Hope the new quickbar will remember the settings you made after the next login Hope also they implemented some improvements to the functionality instead of only change the outfit of it. My wish is to put one set of armor to a key , to put it on or strip it out :hehe:
Interesting Interesting that they can not seem to fix the bug but can only add to them. Lets just have one good VU and then leave it alone LOL. Stratos that is a good idea. A "STRIP" button. This probably will not be introduced though for obvious reasons. :hehe:
A quick button for armour would be very nice. :-) Even if it had a delay inbuilt, so it took several seconds to activate, at least it would be more convenient than the present method. Especially things like gloves and facemasks that can be hard to click on. A strip button? hmm maybe in a later VU, after the Pole-Dance and Lap-Dance button is introduced, then the Strip button will be added. hehe * You have gained in your Striptease skill * hehe
Did someone say pole-dance? Hmm and I cant even ad that nice search smiley Burger has, buhuu. Hmm ohh well if that comes in PE I will swing around the pole for sure
