Wow, did time past quickly lately?

Our electricity is fixed now - or, correction, it WAS fixed. In the middle of making birthday cakes and food for 12 hungry girls Friday, the kitchen light went out again, and now we have to contact the electricians again :( dammit

Amanda's birthday went quite nice though - we had a Disco Party Friday evening - and the girls loved it. Of course we had to continue a little after they all left, and Peter was thrilled about having his old DJ-gear up again, even though he found out last minute he kind of 'missed' the speakers!! Luckily Sarah (my oldest at 19) had a friend who happened to have some big ass speakers standing, and he dropped them by the night before.

Saturday the family and some friends & neighbours came over. We could hardly sit in the kitchen, but we managed. It was very cosy and of course we had to turn up the music again late evening.

I can't remember when we slept until noon last time, but we where exhausted Sunday. We cleaned up as much as we could, I had to take a nap !!! And Amanda had a friend over, a new girl in her class who moved in not far from our house! Amanda had to try out her new roller skates of course. She fell on her bum and now she wants a bum-protector! I told her she will get one naturally when she grow older lol - JUST like her mom ...

Tonight after work, I have to bake a huuuuge chocolate cake for her class tomorrow, when she has her real birthday (she turns 9) - and I hope I can do that before I go to the scout-leader meeting. Tomorrow evening we dine at the Chinese place. It's Amanda's favourite restaurant, and she plays with their little girl, so that's perfect. The rest of the week goes with a dinner event with the company and another scouting meeting - this time with the kids. Amanda will be Mini instead of Micro, and that's a big day for the children, when they know they gain a level.

I haven't had time to be on-line much. And when I have it has mostly been for writing on my fantasy Novel for children - or playing Diablo with Peter. I always thought that game looked silly, but have to admit (dammit) I enjoy it more and more - because it's an easy, no stress-full way to relax. And that is quite nice, finally being able to enjoy a game again.

The Summer in Denmark is gone - it's raining cats and dogs here and everything is floated. I didn't have much Vacation - only 3 days because all our vacation money went to improving the electricity and the kitchen (which is not done yet, but we get closer). BUT we did have time to go to Bakken and celebrate the yearly Santa Congress which is held there. Kind of weird in the middle of Summer - but also fun ...

    Here's Amanda with Santa:

I love your blog entries, and sorry I missed this one. Your real life is certainly filled with lots of activities, and that's what makes time seem like it goes so fast. It also looks like you guys sure know how to throw a party for the kids, and I'm sure they all love going to your place - electricity and kitchen chaos or not.

Give Amanda a big belated birthday hug from me, and tell her she's at a special age - '9' - and she and I have something in common with that number right now. :)

Keep writing, and BIG HUGS to you too.
