So this baby finally dropped from a Osseocollum Young. What I am trying to do is to link the clue "My sister was a famous TV star" to the mob Osseocollum. The furthest I have gotten is that they must mean that tv show "Truth about Marika" MindArk was slightly involved in because Kerberos and Osseocollum look the same. I still think the clue is a huge stretch of the truth though since the TV show was considered a huge huge failure but still somehow managed to win something small What you guys think? Am I on the right track or is there some famous person with Osseocollum as middlename? Heather Osseocollum Locklear or something?
It was called "Truth about Marika" and aired on Swedish Television. Parts of it was inside the game with hints and clues about various things. Kerberos was introduced ingame during the show due to the writers of the show making a fake guard company website called "Cerberus" or something to incorporate in the interactive "chase" for Marika. Its extremely hard to explain the whole thing since the show was a utter complete failure in terms of viewers and no one remembers it anymore. It won some smalltime awards for "Best Online Entertainment" in 2008. MindArk took alot of credit for that award even though they werent part of the award really since the award was more linked to the official website of the show were people could see clues and try and find those places IRL for a prize...nothing to do with MindArks clueless goosechase they tried in PE Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Truth_About_Marika
Ohh ok I know now. Just didn't know the other name for it. The wone with the notes! And it was done as a RL event too. Never saw the real connection to EU (other than it was Swedish and about role playing and my guess is it was in game because marco new someone who new someone, but that's just a wild guess (since Marco have been and is working a lot with roleplaying in different ways next to EU) though the whole idea having a RL mysterious event connected to a game was great ... but then suddenly it was gone again ... weird.
The idea in theory was ok but the execution was pretty awful. Anyway...do you guys think I am on the right track linking the imk2 to the TV show or is there something else? Just trying to figure out if the clues given were accurate or false
Lol i have no idea. only thing I'm thinking off when I see that mobs name is Osbourne ... Other than that; Osseo is a town in the UK and Collum means neck ... Anyway I tried again and again to see the connection between the clue and the mob ... but have a hard time seeing it tbh.. then again, I'm still on morphine and have had wine too ...
Osseo can be seen as latin prefix meaning bone-, so an osseocollum would be a bone neck (collum means neck, as lykke pointed out) However, if you see Kerberos as sister mob of Osseos (far stretch, really - just because they were too lazy to design a new mob for the TV show?!), despite the fact that there has never been any relation between the two mobs other than the same look, it CAN be seen as the "sister" of Kerberos, who was (more or less) famous due to the TV show... It still is maybe the most shitty hint of the century.
To my knowledge PE got about 2seconds of airtime in the TV show with no relation to it what so ever so the mob itself didnt become famous
Kerberos was the security company or something in the TV show. http://www.conspirare.se/blog/?page_id=254 I doubt the three headed dog Kerberos is a female tho, so I don't really see the connection to a famous "sister". Myself, I was guessing Kingfisher to drop the imk. Afterall, EU have their own "TV Celeb" with Sayah King and the Entropia Broadcast Network.
I mentioned the securitycompany in a earlier post in this thread:p I think we can safely conclude that the hints were extremely farfetched on alot of the items. I wish someone at FPC/MindArk will comment the hints and explain them
