Greetings! Mindark currently runs a program in which they go to conventions to advertise Entropia Universe to game players and companies. They often ask for current players to join them in promoting the Entropia Universe. These people are called ambassadors. This thread will teach you the basic of applying to be an ambassador, and how to become one. For many years Entropia Universe has been a 'word of mouth' type of game. This is your chance to tell strangers about it. If you talk to your friends and family about it, this is a great opportunity for you, Mindark, and all the other players. Find an event in which you wish to go to. More often than not, Mindark will announce when they are looking for ambassadors (via the developers blog, or the client loader screen). You can also check the Mindark calendar of events on the main page of Mindark.com. However, sometimes MindArk may not know about the convention you think they should be at. If you know about an event and think Mindark should be there, send them an email at support@mindark.com, with the subject heading 'Convention Idea'. Mindark Support will forward it on to the apropriate people. Applying for the Event To apply to become an ambassador, you must send an email to ambassadors@mindark.com. The email must contain your personal contact details (name, address, phone number, etc), a recent real life photo of you, avatar information, and an introductory letter as to why you think you would make a good ambassador. Hints on becoming an ambassador. Mindark wants people that know the Universe. They want people that are comfortable speaking to strangers. When you send your email, be sure to include a recent photo that is accurate. Send them a picture of you smiling, not one of you sleeping. I personally sent them multiple photos. In your 'bio', be sure to explain why you think you would make a great ambassador. Be detailed. Tell them what you do in real life, and how Entropia Universe plays into it. Are you a daily trader? A weekend warrior? A 10 minute at a time player? They have all these details in the database, but, it's easier if you tell them. They do check up on your history. They check your Entropia Universe history, your support history, as well as your posting history. Be truthful! Do not say 'I never say anything bad about EU', when you've made hundreds of posts complaining about loot. Do not expect to become an ambassador if the majority of your posts are flames. Mindark likes constructive critism, not down right flaming. If you haven't deposited a dime, and now own half the Universe, don't worry, they love bringing people like you. You are a success story. You started with 0, and now you have a story to tell. If you have deposited a lot, you are also a great ambassador. You enjoy playing, and your wallet shows it. Mindark also loves people that love the game. So, in summary, if you like the game, even if you have some issues at times, and are willing to speak about it to strangers, apply to become an ambassador. Also, once you become an ambassador, check this thread for what to expect. Original post was made on Entropia Forum
