My last post about Oculus was that I am not going to use it even if it was free. Now I change my mind.
I will NOT use Oculus even if they give me money to do it LOL.

Axe used Oculus 4 hours today watching 3D porn.

  3. LMAO!

I do admit, Skyrim did look pretty amazing even though he is playing on a low resolution.
FB will probably fuck the OR's future development up.
Who knows, they may make it more amazing, but I highly doubt it.

The guy presenting this is a twat, obviously not so good in an RPG environment lol.

Well I was going to buy this, but now the thought of supporting a fucking cocksucking piece of useless hussk dung of an organization, just makes me some what upset! To put it mildly! :banghead:

Hmm... it what I have to say about this.... I'd rather they hadn't sold out I guess. It is an English characteristic to always back the underdog. I don't feel they are that now. I don't blame them for selling out though, 2 billion is a lot of money to turn down especially when it may be, that for all the work that is being put into it VR still isn't going to be a mainstream way of playing games. They may never make that money back through normal sales. Despite the hype and yes I have tried a Rift and it did have potential, it is stil fundamentally a fancy joystick.... and how many people own joysticks?

If Google had bought them out instead I would have been even more inclined to get one and I truly believe their potential would stand a FAR higher chance of being reached.

IMO the Oculus Rift may as well now be relegated to the annals of history as it will disappear and be forgotten and wasted by the shite pile that is Facebook Group of Companies....

I hope that I'm proven wrong, but a very very very much doubt it. Such a shame...

I don't think it will die off and in some ways the tie in will give them far greater flexibility in terms of the amount they can make of them on launch. Greater production run will mean cheaper cost per unit potentially allowing access to better tech (eg better screens) which might not have been possible with a smaller run. It may also make the price more affordable for consumers leading to a stronger up take in the home. Additionally they may even be able to subsidise the cost in order to prioritise getting them more of the market share from the outset. It won't be long till other companies are making their own VR headsets if it turns out to be something successfull

  9. Crazy lot of money, they will never be able to count that money home and justify that price, or very small chance.

    business valua
Business valuations are not the same as regular money. They think of completely different things and their value. But ya $2B does seem high to me too. but right now these companies have so much cash they are nuts when they spend it.
