The packaging may be new but the stuff inside is still the same. I have seen most of the bugs from the past. Why are they using old coding with the new engine. This to me does not make good sense. It just causes more downtimes and player discomfort. I think MA should be paying us for trying to work with this c--- instead of us paying them. Going to have to make my protest signs bigger I guess lol
This is very similar to how it was with VU 9 when there was the last AV change-over. There were still the same bugs from VU 8, only the graphics had slightly improved. But as long as I can still go running around having fun killing mobs; when I get back in, I guess I'll get used to it ;)
You are right Nexus7. Exploring is what is the most fun now. After server crashes, I like Cee find myself in some very strange places indeed lol
Well, when I get round to putting the extra memory in, I'll have it all to come then :) Does MA realize how difficult it can be to replace SIMM's in a low-profile, stealth case without becomming double-jointed; or without having to remove the drives first? Nooooo... They don't
I'd say you're just about spot-on there Bunny. They have taken the old game routines and grafted on calls to a new gaming engine. This means that everything that was wrong *before* they started this mission is probably still wrong now, unless some programmer found it along the way and some team manager decided they wouldn't be able to get by without fixing it. To be fair though, what they have accomplished, from a programming persepctive, is pretty impressive. I hope the new engine makes life easier for them, and now hopefully the main work is done they will get back down to improving the rest of the game, not just the visual aspects.
Yep, maybe they just want to see that the cryengine is working as such; bugs'n'all, before they recode the game routines. It's just the timing that's suspect, and also, if MA has offline servers that they can test things on, then why don't they before they put it onto the online servers?
