This is what i've come up with at the online configure-your-own store:

    Processor ( [=== Quad Core ===] Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9650 (4x 3.0GHz/12MB L2 Cache/1333FSB) )
Processor Cooling ( INTEL Certified Liquid CPU Cooling System kit )
    Memory ( 4 GB [2 GB X2] DDR2-800 PC6400 Memory Module - Corsair XMS2 Xtreme w/Heat Spreader )
    Video Card ( NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 1GB - Single Card )
Video Card Brand ( Major Brand Powered by ATI or NVIDIA )
    Motherboard ( [SLI] ASUS P5N-D -- Nvidia nForce 750i SLI Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE-1394, Dual PCI-E MB - EPU Technology )
    Power Supply ( 700 Watt -- Power Supply - SLI Ready )
    Primary Hard Drive ( 1.5 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 3.0Gb/s - Single Drive )
Data Hard Drive ( None )
    Optical Drive ( 22X Dual Format/Double Layer DVDR/RW + CD-R/RW Drive - Black )
    2nd Optical Drive ( None )
    Flash Media Reader/Writer ( 12-In-1 Internal Flash Media Card Reader/Writer - Black )
Meter Display ( NZXT Sentry 2 LCD Touch Screen Fan Controller /w Temperatures Display - Black )
    Floppy Drive ( None )
Sound Card ( 3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard )
Network Card ( Onboard LAN Network (Gb or 10/100) )
Operating System ( Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Microsoft Office 2007(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access ....) - 64-Bit )
    USB 2.0 Accessories ( External USB 2.0 Hub (4x USB 2.0 Ports) )

    :baby: Good? Bad? Ugly? :dunno:

Thanks in advance for your input!

What a load of junk. You're better off giving it to the admin of a certain forum you sometimes visit.

Seriously, though, while I'm not a hardware freak by any means, it looks as if this rig will last you quite a while :-) Pretty sweet setup you got yourself there.

  3. hmmm,

I'd go for faster mem than ddr 800 nowadays. get an Asus that supports the cpu chosen and ddr 1600 (or 1333 at least).

NB! memory has to be chosen by the QVL (qualified vendor list) of that specific mobo. otherwise money wasted on ram =)

oh, and as much as I did like nvidia in the past, the other company gives more bang per buck right now... ;)

  4. that looks like a good setup but I would do everything you can to get up to 8 gigs.

  5. Yes, looks quite ok to me :)

Nice try... or are you gonna share it with the tech crew?

No point in that, EU is a 32 bit application and will therefor not be able to make use of more than 4 (3 actually) GB - it might help a tiny bit when you have a lot of other stuff running in the back tho.

  6. looks like a pretty tidy looking rig. im looking for a new one myself since my pent 4 pc is kinda obselete now lol

I would go for a faster GFX card. the 250 will have to work on high load if you want to run the game at max. Also, if youre going for a gaming rig i would loose the 1,5TB drive and get a 10k rpm Raptor.

    PSU:Corsair HX 1000W
    CPU:Intel Core i7-950 3GHz
    MOBO:ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer X58
    RAM:Corsair Dominator DHX+ DDR3 1866MHz 16GB
HDD1:2x Corsair SSD Extreme X128 in Raid 0 (W7/64 and entropia)
    HDD2:WD VelociRaptor 300GB
    HDD3: WD Caciar 1,5TB
    GFX:2xXFX GeForce GTX 295 576M Xtreme 1792MB PhysX

  8. i am most definitelly a hardware fan. cant help it cos I am a artizan. I just love building PCs up from scrach. Yirk, you have a Monster of a setup there. I am a little impressed mabe jealous LOL. You are sorted for at least the next 5 years.

Mabe this year I will blow your mind with a new hardware setup, if I get to it Ofc. I shall certainly post it here for the droolers:)

Just hope you never spring a leak. i`ve heard some stories about liqiud cooling systems. Keep all your warranty paper in a safe place OK?
