It seems as if MindArk aren't the only ones struggling when a heavy load hits their servers. Diablo 3 launched yesterday and of late last night, many people were unable to login to the game as a result. Forbes has a different take on the release, stating it might make up for declining game sales in April: http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2012/05/15/diablo-3-to-the-rescue-of-slumping-game-sales/
Apparently, scammers, too, are using the Diablo iii launch for their own ends: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/05/15/diablo_3_scams/
Hi, I am having a small issue updating to version 1.0.4, the patcher does the update but the client remains at 1.0.3. Has anyone else had this issue or know a work around ? I am trying a reinstall now. I am running Win 7 Pro x64.
Ok there seems to be some sort of patcher problem getting the new update. I am doing it through the web-client-setup now, downoading the entire 8GBs :) Let us hope this one works!
Could it be that the Aussie servers just are still down? I had issues before where it told me there was an update, it would shut down, and then tell me stuff was being patched still. It usually is due to the servers not being live. You can verify whether everything is up and running for your neck of the woods by checking the Server Status: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/status
Hey Peter, Aye I think that was the issue, though me being a littl eimpatient, I downloaded the installer from battle.net and all is working fine now 1.0.4 Thanks for the link too, I didn't have that one bookmarked :)
