View attachment 942 OK I was looking at a healer tool and trying to compare them in the possibility of buying it at auction as an upgrade to my TT vivo. They look to heal the same basically? Or is it that my vivo is tier 0.2, and when the FAP-5 got to tier 0.2 it would be better by comparison? (since it's now 0.0 and looks to heal roughly the same.)
it can get a little complicated. with the fap5, you'll get the maximum heal interval (10-10) at around level 45 paramedic. but, you'll do 10 points most of the time around level 23. the higher constant heals makes up for the lower cost per use of the vivo t1. the herb box from ancient greece is actually better the both the t1 and fap5, but it doesn't last as long. as for all the others, most people pick then for the speed of use and the amount of the heal per use. since the usual application is as a combat tool, speed and amount are more important than cost. however, one usually tries to find the least expensive tool to do the job properly.
thanks for the guidance...at my skill level things are usually trying to kill me faster than I can heal with the vivo so it's something I use between fights for now. One time I just let a young brown papoo beat on my and healed every once in a while for defensive skillups. My current task though, 250 grey papoos, I may need to hunt yellows and boars to skill up more, as the weakest grey young only go down after reducing me to within a sliver of death. Matures and olds are out of the question. Also looking for more pixie armor, only have harness and feet, but bidding on arms that are due tonight. Greys seem 3 times worse than any of the others. Killed 8 with about 5 deaths, fortunately they are a short walk from the north road revive. (By which I mean the road headed north to Rutile Beach TP...I need to make a real map since the ingame map is...arrgh.) So yeah, 250 Greys...more skills and more armor. Using the TT armor to fill vacant slots until I get more pixie is very attractive since I can sell it back. I am reassured that the rising skills are noticable, reds about as easy as browns used to be, yellows not so scary anymore.
dont worry about the lvl on the faps.... what you want is the healing amount for you exp lvl.... so if the fap-10 shows what you want.... but you wont get to max it at 10/10 till lvl 30 or whatever..... dont worry..... if the range is 15-20 and thats what you need go for it, you may only be missing out on a few points or tenths of points. faps are for the most part free on any other planet... so abuse em, its ok... but dont pay a crazy MU for anything under a fap-80.... also arkadia healing tools are not bad at all... the gyro faps, are kinda kool. when buying any non (L) item from a player or a tt, look at the tier rate. it will be listed in the bottom of the "wrench" list. 1-10 may be 100 145 108, thats not bad... if its above 100 it will tier fast.... 502 230 9 325... that would be a dud.... would never get to tier 3... people will sell crap in the auction with uber low tier rates, so watch out. if you are buying a tt item, buy 3 and keep the best 1. with healing tools, and other items you plan to keep for a while, tier rates are very important. the enhancers used to boost their performance can make a lesser tool work like a much better one... careful though sometimes the materials needed to tier a item are not worth the expense... as for the pic of the 2 healing tools... your skill is low now... but will catch up, but the tt vivo had better performance at your lvl.... even though the fap-5 shows a lvl 0... it is hiding the fact that it matures at a much much higher lvl.... there is no book for this game.... so keep an eye on trends, keep costs low, and have fun....
