this is something that has been bothering me for a long time. I was reminded of this through this post: now, I have nothing against transformers, other than I don't care for them. however,, I thought that dropping the transformers logo on a basic shirt was a little simplistic and not really worth the 200 ped being asked for the item. way back in the old days, MA use to have so-called fashion designers on staff who make different clothing lines. the lines were mostly weak, but there were a couple of good pieces. with EU clothing, in my opinion, much of it is terrible and there is an opportunity to do much better. next island, as it is suppose to appeal to a more casual participant, could take advantage of this with some decent island oriented clothing. tank tops, cutoffs, shoes, socks, hats, sunglasses, even a basic business suit. people would flock to these things is they were well designed. a new skirt mesh for the micro-skirts would be good. the current ones seem to use the miniskirt mesh and weird things happen (like if you wear the high boots). I did some work, for almost two years, with texture fields on 3D meshes. it was interesting work and not that difficult, if you understood alpha layers and composition programs such as photoshop. if next island is interested in kickstarting it's economy, clothing might be a good path. I don't think it would be that difficult to find someone with experience in "painting" 3D meshes. I think some high quality, high fashion pieces would go a long way.
Clothing for a hot climate. Suffers a bit from "in the future everyone wears spandex and catsuits." (never did images here so no idea if these will work...) kim, from mindark, said that they've improved their "rope physics". so, grass skirts should be doable.
I'm partial to the look in the movie, Sahara (2005), starring Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt, Steve Zahn as Al Giordino, Penélope Cruz as Eva Rojas. Dirk: "We gotta pull a Panama..."
