Ice Daggers are bugged for some avatars

Lee had the same problem.
Turns out the reason she couldn't log was the ice dagger she had looted a few days ago, that suddenly decided it was bugged. Thankfully support helped for a change

 

It is all the same as the noob club problem that started us off :0 Carried that around for over a week and used it with no problem, then the ctd on log in started. Support fixed that one very fast, and eventually they removed them all to storage and then out of game completely. Then the ice club did it to me this week, and tonight I got an ice dagger and ran straight to storage with it lol. Come on bug fix VU :)

Good to be back ingame tonight, bugs and all.

i had the same problem with ice dagger 2L, ctd when trying to use it even if i have been able to use it the day i did get it.
And from then ctd each time i did log...
To solve this i did clic on the unequip tool/weapon icon while the icons were loading : it did unequip it, i did get a ctd indeed, but on the next launch of entropia, i ve been able to log in and to put the icedagger into the storage.
I hope it will help, its a quicker way to solve than asking to support to remove it from your inventory.

Problem there is not all crashes are the same, I never got to a point past the loading screen to see or do anything. I did have the noob club equipped, but that was before we had any idea about them being bugged, the other two later ones were not equipped, just in my inventory and this last one I didn't even realize it was the ice club until support finally figured it out, as changing graphics settings while flying seemed to be the issue that caused my crash this last time (now it seems it was just a trigger).

If others can sort it with the icons and unequip great, but I personally would say still let support know, there aren't really a lot of people with these items and the more they have to deal with the issue the more likely they will escalate the need to get the fix done. I remember there was one guy who felt he was trapped on NI until the fix as he didn't want to lose the noob club but if he went back to calypso he assumed support would put it back in storage on Next Island (though I'd hope they would just put them in inventory where ever you are).

The main point of course is as the OP said, don't use, equip or carry in inventory any of these new NI weapons until it is fixed.

 

Yeah, got some problems to with those daggers.
Turned awful once when I had it equipped.... started ofc with a ctd, then every time I tried to log in i got ctd after 2sec ingame. But...solved by pressing the shortcut button "Unequip all" right after the log stage.

So its "dangerous" to use them atm hehe
