There is a very good question, that comes up again and again. Can we use our skills and equipment from other planets here on Next Island too? I think, I read something similar too. Something like "To protect the timeline you cannot leave something from the future in the past times". But now, we have here a Forum! And here are the guys who know, how NextIsland will work. So... How is it? On modern Next Island we can use our stuff most likely. But what about the greek and the ice age times?
I assume we will still have full use of all our Calypso / Rocktropia skills and equipment, maybe a few additions as well. A time travelling skill? A hula skill? :D
David Simmonds (Business Development Director for MA) gave some specific responses to similar questions in his exclusive interview that appeared in the launch issue of the EntropiaTimes magazine as follows: “MindArk controls the balancing between planets so that items can be used on each planet without upsetting the economy of each planet.” -and- “The different planets are not different games, they are all part of Entropia Universe that is one open universe. In principle, users can travel from one planet to another and bring their items. In the future Planet Partners will have the option to exclude some items from leaving their planet.” I too think it was mentioned somewhere that the time travel aspect of Next Island may preclude us from transporting certain items from one dimension to another, but ... I also thought that I read somewhere that there might be exceptions. I guess we'll find out once we begin our adventures on Next Island.
How do I get that stupid thought out of my head?! Imagine... Merry Mayhem of Calypso... And suddenly MindStar9 jumps out of her TP and begins shooting with an medieval bow! In greek armor! And conquers a Claim Rod, M2S couldn't defend against her... Because their armors are Laser-, Plasma- and BLP-proof, but not arrowproof... And the lasershots agains MS9 are reflected back by her polished bronze armor... ROFL!!!
:p ... who ARE you ... LOL ... that's quite funny, BUT ... there's one thing I've always said from the beginning in this universe ... never underestimate the power of purple. ;) Interesting thing is, I'm quite adept as an Archer in other games, and wear some kick-ass armor, so I'm hoping that as these planet partners delve into their creativity, they also stay unique with regard to what we wear, what we protect ourselves with, and what we use for those smackdown times when we need to put someone or something in their place. :D I do know that it won't be uncommon to see someone on Calypso wearing Next Island clothing, so perhaps this is something already in place. Now Fox ... in my most medieval twang I ask thee ... reveal thyself, or suffer the slings and arrows of my most wicked ways. :p
