A Suggestion To MA

Jesus - historical or not - became a construct as well to transport some very helpful rules we all still benefit from today.
Santa Claus and Easter Bunny are misuses and stupid relicts. Originally - probably - meant with a good intention. But not really helpful.

Back on topic: I enjoy my life - either real life or virtual life. Drink, eat, play, fuck, music, movies, smoke, remember, imagine and whatnot. I'm part of a special cultural enviroment. I'm afraid I can't pull down these cultural walls easely at the age of 62. And tbh I don't want to. I met a few other very interesting folks at Calypso (thumbs up towards MindArk!). I mean completely different to my intentions and embossed by really different cultures (USA for example). That teached me to be more cautious. But hey, why the hell, isn't it possible to have sex with someone I love in Entropia Universe?

More and more I'm afraid that I have to deal with something like Asperger-Syndrom Light too - just to make matters worse.
Increasingly I can't understand some of the posts here at EP and elsewhere in the net and things that happen IRL. My view at things becomes slowly narrowed. Simplified. Why the fucking hell do cyclist use the the damn left bikeway (in Germany with right-hand traffic) - against the rules? And don't care about that they break laws by doing this?

Currently I watch a TV series: "Broen" in Danish, "Bron" in Swedish, "Die Brücke" in German. Part of it is a swedish detective: Saga Norén. She has Asperger-Syndrom. That is sometimes funny, sometimes very strange. But always a reason to think about how crazy our current communication became meanwhile. I love her. She is so plain! She set everything in question. "Does it make sense? Is it logical? Why did you do this?"

I mean - ofc I read books like "Politeia" by Platon, "Articles Of Association" by Jean-Jaques Rousseau, "The Magic Mountain" by Thomas Mann, "The Grapes Of Wrath" by John Steinberg and "1984" by George Orwell and whatnot ("Asterix & Obelix"). But at wich point do these books help me when I'm not able to understand simple things? Like people who are ashamed when talk comes to nudity or sex. Cyclists who use the left side of the road without shame but endanger themself and others.

My intention is to make my life easier. As for instance I use the same tool for cutting my hair as for shaving my beard. I reduce driving comfort to an old poor roadster. Best relation between price and performance. Btw - roadster-season was opened three days ago with snow and blue sky ;-)

I think this Asperger-Syndrom would be a very good therapy for most people. Those poeple would be able to say: "The emporer is naked!"

 

It does make sense.
And guess what I've learned right this evening while driving to the supermarket. Two points of view are possible:

1. The ABS in my car works! Good to know ...
2. To mistrust cyclists can save life (of cyclists) or prevent cyclists from broken bones at least.

I passed a crossroad after the traffic light switched to green. Then a cyclist came from the right at the bikeway (his traffic light must have been red - at least all cars had stopped ...) and turned right into my path. Unfortunately this road has no bikeway. So he rode onto the main track one or two meters before my car without looking at what happens around him. Especially my car that was so close to him and faster than he was.

Sorry for focussing to cyclists. Just a fitting actual note ;-)

I appreciate your comment McCormick and widely agree with it. It's always good to talk. Or at least try to talk. No shame, no fear. Even if 95% of it is wasted time. I'm afraid we will need right this intention during the upcoming years. And I don't talk about cyclists this time ;-)

 

I'm afraid it's worse today. A gun in childs hands still require to trigger it. I think it's more like to blindfold a lot of people in this world and take away any chance from them to get a better or clear view of how our world ticks. Call it religion or ideology or lack of education. Still, neither any Christian religion nor Islam or Jews or whatever religion is guilty itself. Guilty of misuse are always and solely humans or institutions like churches pursued by humans. Tricky part is: Often they have really good intentions. And are really helpful. Unfortunately sometimes not.

But what would be the alternative? I'm afraid mankind needs any scaffold (religion or not) to layaway at. Anything. And we'll always find a wide range of such scaffolds. There won't be THE ONE monkey bars. Sounds like a lot of struggle for our future. Still. Accept it.
