If anything they should have stolen the mobs on Rocktropia........Cheetahs, Panthers, etc at least they would fit better.
In my opinion, having some generic mobs, such as Oculus or Snarg, on Next Island is an excellent initiative. ROCKtropia has done the same. This should be good for the local economy :)
As well as the possible boost to the local economy, using existing mobs means the devs don't have to spend time creating new mobs. They also add a bit of variation for people like me who haven't been to Calypso. However, I'm not up to exploring their region yet, so I don't know what other mobs there might be in there.
The more interesting part is that now we have at least the possibility to loot a higher level gun than just another Ice Dagger that's useless for Drakes - CB24's are not bad at all.
