Hey there, in the coming days (possibly weeks) we'll look into overdue maintenance tasks and some upgrades for EntropiaPlanets. On the backend the changes will be huge (new server, new software, new db, etc). Since our time and knowledge is limited this might take a while, best case days, worst case weeks. The site might be dysfunctional, in read-only mode, doing strange things, we might lose changes made during the maintenance period (for example posts) and we might lose some features for a period of time (for example the forum-wiki bridge). But do not worry, as always the future is brighter than ever ;) P.S. If there's someone experienced with server administration and stuff we could always use some help :)
I'll be the first to say it but not the first to think it.... is there much point in upgrading? It seems alot of money and effort for not much reward with traffic so low. Entropia is well into it's twilight years, and many people are selling out - it seems to be dying a long drawn out death(tm).
You are right, it's a crazy amount of money and effort poured into a black hole. However, the EU community would be big enough for a site like EntropiaPlanets to prosper (content and info-wise, not economically) but the grand majority of the community doesn't seem to be interested in an independent, non-commercial, totally community orientated site. That's the major issue. Nevertheless, also since we are pretty much the last site of its kind we'll keep going, and planning to do so for much longer than EU will :) The worst-case scenario for EntropiaPlanets after EU's death is being integrated with a more general gaming project we are working on for some time already. At any rate, the future for EntropiaPlanets is brighter than ever. :)

I am more programmer than server admin, but usually find my way around when I need to. Send me in PM what needs done or better, take my email address from the database.
So should I just wait it out to add a new Longtooth maturity level? I keep getting errors when trying to save.
Alrighty, we are on the new server but many things are still severely broken. But we also have a few new features already :) Probably will still take a while (days-weeks) until we are back to 'normal' and a little longer until we'll see some some real improvements.
We have reached about the same state that we had on the old server but on the new server everything is a little faster :) And a couple of small improvements are in already, and a lot of tiny ones such as background image rotation, Discord widget, wiki menu update, etc. So we officially leaving maintenance mode. In case you find something not working please report. Same if you have suggestions for improvements. And thank you very much @theProphet and @San for the offer. We managed to get the server change done without consuming your valuable time. Yet there's still a lot left to do that is definitely beyond our skills, so... :)
I just tried adding creature attack values for Kerberos standard. No error message, no nothing. Then I figured that was broke, so tried uploading a profile pic (scan actually) for the entry. Get some error about not being able to create some obscure directory name. I love the way this site looks and it is easy to navigate. It just seems next to impossible to add/update/edit the wiki. In the meantime, players are not using this site because the wiki is so out of date & incomplete. (Comment created during period of frustration)
No problem The Stare and I know some stuff is not working correctly. I have noticed the wiki message when uploading an image and there seems to be some sort of solution, just no time yet to go into that and try it. In the last few weeks we have fixed a few issues already, but more fixes needed for sure. Tha attack value you are talking about is the part the Combat section of the Kerberos page?
I just looked and the values are displayed on the Kerberos page now. Yes, the combat section where the different types of attacks are listed. Apparently the main creature chart isn't updated when the creature itself is? There are 2 maturity charts as well. That's just plain confusing.
I see what you're up to ;) Perhaps when the game is less new to me I would be willing to spend more time fixing things elsewhere. :)
Apologies for the issues of past 2 weeks, like downtime, login not working properly, icons missing, etc. It's just a sign of us fiddling around with various elements to improve the experience. As a result most pages are loading 20-30% faster already. Also there was a relatively big change regarding content... We are far from done yet, so expect more issues :)
