Another important theme for me regarding Unreal and VR: "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice VR" from Ninja Theory. I read about it lately and bought it immediately (30 Euro). I managed to connect my PS4 controller to my new PC and play it since a few days with my Oculus.

What shall I say? It is awsome in a very special way. It deals with a hero who is mental diseased (Senua). It's all just in her head. The main theme is the darkness wich wants to take over her. This is not just a simple adventure but a call to the so called "normal" people to respect and care for others, who arn't really "normal", because they hear voices, see disturbing pictures and patterns or fear things others don't see as a menace. I myself am a Psycho. At least a bit I think. 12 years of life spent in the darkness of depression left some marks in my mind. I cannot really say that I enjoy the game. It is partwise terrible fo me. But it is interesting and exciting.

If you want to try it, I recommend to play it in VR, not at a flat screen in front of you. Headphones are absolutely necessary! Just to be able to manage the help from all the voices in Senuas head and because of the immersion. And watch the "Making Of" before you start with it. It'll help to explain to you main parts of what you will have to deal with.

Crazy side note: Melina Juergens, main actor of this game, comes from Paderborn, a city nearby to my hometown ;-) 45km. She made the editing of the "Making Of" as well.

Well these pictures are for free, since I made them. Unfortunately it's not possible to export the complete photobook from that software as a PDF or something else. But I will ask for this or make my own PDF. Finally we will be in need for our group to be able to present it in a digital way.

Well, Hellblade is for sure an outstanding experiance for someone while it can be a simple fighting epos to others. I couldn't finish it in VR. I watched a video instead to see how the story ends. Isn't it crazy?

    With a bit delay ...

Well, actually it's just in German. We want to found an association to revive this Lady at her place of birth, in Friedrichshafen at lake Bodensee.

There is a viewy picture from 1931 when the Do X arrived at New York and landed at the Hudson River:

Today I made another picture using a free shutterstock photo:

The leader of our group will send it to his friend Sergei Sikorsky.

    Ooops, wait!
I will meet a man who is a friend of Sergei Sikorsky next Friday? Really? That's crazy, isn't it?
Well, Sergei is at the age of 94. But our boss ensured me that he is still pretty spry. At Saturday I will meet the students who are part of our VR squad for half a year. We will try to use Unreal Engine for our shows. We got a place at the AERO at Friedrichshafen in April next year with a VR-show of whatever we can craft until this date. Two Oculus Quest, my Oculus Rift and a first version of a printed 3D-model of the prow in 1:43. Something like this:

Additional I consider to buy a 3D model of the Statue Of Liberty for $44 at Turbosquid to be able to make an exact replica of the original photo from 1931.

    Well, I couldn't resist. I bought the 3D model:

I can build the island from Google Maps:

    That's a funny challenge!

First attempt. Doesn't fit very good so far:

But all in all I'm on a good way I think. Sooner or later it will fit!
