Are MA/FPC able to run the game professional

    Will MA/FPC be able to run the game professional and with a seriouse handling of the system. As it is now its more of a scam.

    To get trust from us player ill guess the only solution is to have the system monitored and adjusted by an independent guardian or actor where MA/FPC can not interfer with the code any more then whats needed for optimal functionality. One solution like this should give the game the needed trust. As it is now MA/FPC can when ever they want freely change the code for thier own benefit and thats the reason why i do not believe in the game anymore.

    Let me just say that IMO Mindark are THE most <removed by admin> unprofessional <removed by admin> bunch <removed by admin> I've ever had the displeasure to encounter in my entire Gaming life.

    Independent monitoring? Pfft.. Never gonna happen. What I would love to see happen though is for CCP to :nutkick: MA out and take over the Platform. That would be SSWWWEEET.

    Please try and remain constructive.

    We still are hoping that MindArk at some point will create a account here, and start posting here as well. That might be easier to achieve if namecalling is not happening.

    It seems to be hard enough as it is to get them to actually create an account here (or respond to our requests for an interview), and thereby offer some official support (and let us in on non-RSS-fed news or questions to the community they have without us having to snatch it off of other forums instead).

    Agree, players must also be trusted to be seriouse from MA/FPC point of wiev to achive a creative discussion.

    Very good if admin take control over threads what wont meet this ambition.

    This game is "their" property which they allow you for a small fee to particpate in.

    Why should they be forced to have an outsider make decision on their product?

    I have no issues with the game, more loot would be nice but if I dont get it I will deposit more if I can afford to at the time.

    But the bottom line Mindark is a business and the goal of a business is to return money to their investors. It's investors are not the depositors.

    I think MindArk do it very well. if not Entropia would have died long time ago. Ofc it could be easy to transform Entropia into a normal game where we can be Uber lvl 84 in 3 weeks but it would kill the "very unique" RCE within, ummm , within 3 weeks.
    Maybe MA actions displeases some peoples but they keep the RCE alive and it keep x% of player that are in exactly for that. Maybe you did not talked about RCE in op but I'm almost sure that's what you have in mind. Things like they nerf value of things when they want and it cost too much per month, ect, ect ....

    And for a 3rd party organisation to keep MA on a leash, well, I also think that Entropia is their own baby and they can do what they want with it. If I am MA and this kind of 3rd party would come to tell me what to do or not, I would just pull the plug and say: "F.U.C.K. you man, you will never get my baby."

    hahah dont missunderstand me , i really want to have MAs trust and discussion in this matter. It wont happend if we are not diplomatic.

    Thinking about it, yeah you are probably right. Even if it IS MA's baby, there still should be laws applied like IRL to prevent Child Abuse. :baby:

    Actually this means that the companies what are active in this market has to make more stabile dynamic codes from start to be successfull. Codes that works without manual impact. This is the problem for MA ill guess, they adjust the code manualy sometimes, or often, who knows. This is also dangerouse for them selves. Also as discussed in one other thread this is happening to single player, its obviouse that MA manually affect players accounts. This is the most irritating problem i have in the game (my avatar is for sure affected by manual change in the loot code from time to time). And only way to guarantee this not happends to the players is by a independent company what change the code by instructions from MA/FPC what are inside the legal doings or accepted criteria.

    MA seems to of improved over the years, but they still make an incredible amount old mistakes.
    The only way they might make a permanent change is if their bottom line is affected for too long.

    Actually, stringent testing procedures and proper validation will ensure most bugs are caught. I'm not saying absolutely everything will be caught, but at least, it would remove such embarrassing stuff as an update not working when it is released, or finding out that an overkill of mountains ensures the playability is greatly reduced.

    I was under the impression that banking licenses require this kind of stuff already, but then again, maybe Swedish banking laws are just ridiculously loose when it comes to cover the customers.

    My hope is that the planet partners will be able to convince MindArk they really need to up their efforts in ensuring quality is delivered. We as clients tried and were consistently ignored. Perhaps those who will be responsible for MAs new revenue will be able to accomplish what we could not.

    There must be contracts between MA and partners, and a clause ensuring lost revenue due to failure of MindArk to properly test resulting in monetary penalties might open MAs eyes, or otherwise (eventually) result in the loss of a planet partner and all the press that will come with it.

    Absolutely.

    I recall specifically bringing up this point in an EF post a while back... can't recall the context of the thread though.

    Seems to me that MA's days are numbered, one way or another: Either they straighten the hell up REAL fast for the Planet Partners, or they get their ass handed to them in court for trying to pull the same sh!t with the PP's as they do to us.

    Which leaves me wondering... if they are indeed capable of doing it right for the PPs, why the hell aren't they doing it NOW, the [bleep]ing [bleep] [bleep]s??
