where to buy houses (not in auction)

Discussion in 'Guides and help' started by joihnsonlee, Mar 3, 2019.

  1. where can i buy houses (which are close together) not from auction so i can look around the place

  2. You can buy house, but the color is not free (bluuurp... vomit)

Classic "Mind" "Ark" to buy cheap garbage, add color and sell at maximum price...
But that's not their fault if it collapses and you die in it.

    In the swedish tradition... lol.

  3. The auction is your friend...look for appartments. 600-1000 PED
And if you are rich, go for the big houses, where you will never find any other avatars anyway.
Its just for decoration...like SIMs. And way beyond 10000 PED. :p

I'd not bother if I were you. Houses and apartments are useless, other than for additional storage. You'll end up paying a lot of money for something you won't use and that will take additional upkeep fees. If you want to decorate it, you'll have to slap down more money for furniture. It's pointless, really, and the game is expensive enough without it.

Save yourself some PEDs, and ignore this "feature" that hasn't seen any value added to it in over a decade.

  5. On the other hand an apartment or house can be fun, if you like to decorate. I enjoy it a lot. And since the price doesn't fluctuate you can always sell it again. I bought my house at minopolis for 3,5 k ped. It is a lot of ped. But I have had it for some years now. It's our society house, the society fund is there.

A 350 USD alternative for Discord and storage :bduh: As for it not fluctuating in price, you're basically counting on MindArk not to devalue stuff? Because they never did that, other than when they randomly shuffled all real estate around when they "upgraded" to CE2, or when they ruined Akoz's LA by enriching it with mountains, or ensured the markup tanked on pretty much any component used in crafting when they created craftable EP, devalued skills by adding new lotting skills (and giving away skills as rewards for missions), and equipment (by devaluing loot, prices for pretty much any gear dropped because suddenly the ROI of these items was significantly lowered).

Oh, and more than 3.5k if you like to decorate (in which case I'd advise you to use any other free tool or even games like Second Life to do so, rather than spend even more money on useless furniture that has no practical use other than cosmetics, and which is limited to the outdated stuff predating the current engine).

  7. Drink some coffee and have a Nice Day!
You don't have to like this part of the game. I do. Thanks for respecting my opinion mr free speech.

  8. Yes, as Spawn said. Its used as expensive society storage.

Back in 2004 the whole Entropia concept was quite entertaining, I admit.
Even houses were. But back then avatars used to sit there for hours, chat and roleplay regarding Entropia.
    That was awesome.

In todays Entropia these houses and appartments are empty....well, they have always been empty...and people dont waste time on these little, lovely details anymore.

If you are in desperate need of virtual housing and decoration, to gather some attention...you better choose 2ndLife...where people appreciate these things...actually using them...and on top of it, most stuff is free there...

Hey, I do respect your opinion. And more power to you if you enjoy it. Free speech means you can say whatever the hell you want, and I don't see anyone trying to prevent you from doing so. Notice how your reply was in no way edited, altered, or removed.

I simply question the sanity of spending 350 USD for something that has plenty of free alternatives. Free speech also allowed me to do that.

Plus you're not limited to only the outdated crap MA sanctioned, but you can actually just create whatever the fuck you want.

  11. Save money and visit other avatars’ houses instead and marvel at their richness.

They’re not like real-life houses and apartments where they’re usually a safe investment.

And even if that proved to be the case one day, house prices increasing due to game suddenly getting mega-popular (Lols) then MindArk would sell amazingly-special new houses in one of their direct-to-player sales.

  12. Yes sanity. That's the point. I am cocoloco. (Emoticon :bduh:). Thats not respect.

So in your opinion, pointing out that there's free alternatives to your 350 USD suggestion is fine, right? Even if I add that I question the sanity of that 350 "investment"?

But it's the use of the smiley that is disrespectful?

  14. Think about it for a while. Meanwhile I have to get my creditcard out to buy a costume for my son for Fortnite.

With every deposit you support Mindark to continue with their scammy&fishy madness.

Isn't access to the ad system bound to estate deeds? So that would be a 'feature' of houses.

there are quite a few people on Rocktropia using apartments now, i was actually impressed when I came back in game last fall how active the social parts on Rock were doing (shops and apartments)

The question was "where to buy houses not in auction"
One option is person to person trades, just spam in trade channels you want to buy one and maybe you get lucky.
Alternatively there might still be some available on rocktropia in exchange for bananas and rockbucks (im not sure though)
Also from time to time different planets hold events where the prize may be an estate of some sort. (that is how I got my Mothership)

Like mentioned above, there is little practical use for most estates now, but they are a fun place to hang out and decorate and store things as you wish, and give you access to the advertising terminals.
