    So the most reliable pilot seems to be John Black. However, he's been absent from the game for over 30 days (I presume him becoming a daddy might have something to do with it). Does anyone know who I could reach out to instead? I'm looking for a safe trip to Cyrene, without risking my carried items.

    Also, does the old trick of logging off to protect you from getting looted still work?

    Thanks!

    Fly by yourself! Even Cyrene - Calypso is relatively safe during late night hours. Wait at the space station until the area looks clean. Fly an unexpected route. Ask a friend to be your scout. He can get attention of any pirates and drive them away from your flight route and give you a warning if the route isn't safe. Me and my sister did this all the time. We had zero loss. Zero.

    I once made a special tour through complete Entropia Universe. I started a thread at planetcalypsoforum.com and asked all pirates to catch up with me. I told them everytime where I was. But not the next target. I'm not sure but if I remember right they didn't catch me. Man, it's really easy to avoid pirate penetration.

  3. Honeslty, space is so empty...noone will hear you scream. ;D

    The only "problems" are the space stations, with their lurking pirates...if noone will follow you after leaving the safezone, you will have hours and hours of pure boredom...

    Buy yourself a quad + spacethruster + porcupine and enjoy wasting your peds on the loOooOOoong travel killing space mobs.

    I don't have a spaceship, and don't really have the PEDs to splash out on one either. But thanks for the tips :)

    a quad is cheap, a vtol even cheaper...... both will fly through space, we are talking <100peds

    Sure. But once I get to Cyrene, I'll probably stay there until the end of my avatar's days :)

    pfft. you will always be around in some form or another. Quad/VTOLs prove quite useful on planet as well as in space, you should have one of them along with your default 'noob gun' of choice.

    Are you trying to transport inventory, or just your avatar and gear?

    My avatar and whatever I'm currently carrying. I have a few vehicles already, and most of my items are on Cyrene. I moved back to Cali a few years ago, and have whatever I looted since on me now. I intend to move the whole shebang to Cyrene, and simply stay there from then on.

    Then yeah you probably should hop on one of the warp services, i dont know much about current offers though.
    If JBK is busy with new baby, check with Granny Rowan or Ravenjade?

    I can not agree with the recommendations to ignore the pirate threat and "just wing it". It works until it doesn't and you lose valuables. I usually fly by myself, but never carry lootables. Often it is empty, but there are days when the pirates are having a ball not letting you go anywhere, too. The names mentioned above are good to turn to for the occasions when you need to haul stuff. EFA is also still around, watch the trade channels or #space_travel for announcements. Whenever you ask publicly, the vultures are also listening.

    Well, one must be strong enough to retreat and leave the game if any serious menace occeurs at the current day. But coming back next day, probably at another time, will help.
    Finally I agree with Narfi: Best way is to invest a few PED and ask a mothership-owner. I personally never used this service because it has always been some sports to me to avoid all this little wankers ;-)

    I have access to fly a starfinder but I seem to remember I don't think, as a pilot, I have the right to invite people on board (so not so handy) plus I'm not actually sure if we have a warp drive... in fact, fairly sure we don't. Sorry pretty useless really. Best else I can offer is a Quaddie.

    oh.... and I have no guns. I would say #pacifist but really it's #cheapskate.

  14. There are channels where you can simply ask for a warp.

    Are they reliable, though? I'm well aware that people have gotten tricked by some in bed with the pirates...

  16. My soc mate Sinner owns the XXX and offers private warp (with sensual massage), but he's also not on often and he's not European. I am a pilot on the XXX, but like Wistrel.. we cannot add guests.

    Well, looks like such simple issues became a real problem meanwhile. It's not such a big deal. Get a Quad, split your items and fly three or four times. Ask a friend or two to help you as scouts. Probably make a test run without any valuable items. Problem solved. Regarding flight time Calypso-Cyrene it's all possible within on night shift.

    At the other hand you sound like a pensioner. Why will you keep all the old stuff? For what reason? Smash the crap to TT and put worthy stuff to auction and withdrawal the earning. Pirates cannot loot your expensive weapons and armour. Just stackable stuff. Than leave Calypso for Cyrene to meet Lykke. Although I would prefer a luxury apartment at Monria to spent my sunset years ;-)

    20:30 EU time / Arkadia --> Calypso
    21:00 EU time / Calypso --> Rocktropia
    21:30 EU time / Rocktropia --> Monria
    Things that new players should be mindful of:
    • make sure you have all planets and space downloaded before you travel with us
    • --- we won't wait for you to download a planet during our travel schedules
    • when traveling with us, make sure you let us know if you need a lift down to a planet
    • --- we generally do low-orbit drops at the planet which requires a personal spacecraft
    • --- you can usually hitch a ride with someone else exiting planet-side
    • --- at the Space Stations (except Monria), there is a 7 ped fee to teleport to the planet
    • we do a First Summons 15 mins and Final Summons 5 mins before leaving each location
    • we always begin our travel schedule at Monria at 20:00 game time
    • we like to keep our schedules on time, so please be mindful of when we do the Summons
    • remember to bring with you an RK-5 and welding wire to help at repair stations should we need it
    • Monrian Borns are given their first RK-5 and welding wire to also use during repair skilling runs
    Currently, individuals eligible for the free space travel program include all Monrian-born participants as evidenced by their Monrian new player shirts, Yamato pilot staff, all TKoE society members, Monria Shop Owners, Monria Apartment Owners and Monrian Born Program management.
    If you are a TKoE society member, a Monria Shop Owner, or a Monria Apartment Owner and are not yet on the Yamato Guest List, please post your full in-game name on the main sign-up list here. You will receive an in-game Friend List Request from the Monria Fleet Manager, and once the request is accepted, you will be added to the Yamato Guest List.

    As Monria evolves, more scheduled days and times may be added to accommodate growth.
    ---------------
    yes, above prices are higher than JBK's or some others, but they are very reliable in the weekly schedule. Haven't tried the vip flights, but suspect they'd be good for that too. I know Cyrene isn't on the list as a part of the free ride, but this gives you a good idea of when they do their weekly schedule so you know that the fleet manager is online at these times usually... so after the regular schedule or whatever, you could have them do a vip?
