Suggestion : Praetorium burner

Discussion in 'Next Island' started by Lucky_A, Apr 25, 2012.

  1. Now that almost each cyclop drops praetorium and many have a lot of it in storage, not to speak of it's MU which from several K% went TT food :roflmao: ... was thinking....

Maybe would be a good idea to introduce a "Praetorium burner" UL bp ... I mean a BP for something that would allow us to burn those big qtys of ore. At the moment the armor BPs do not qualify, as the other required ingredients(crystals) are scarce and hard to find ... so should be praetorium + something easy to find ... lysterium, oil, muscle oil, eye oil ... or ulexite crystal maybe ? ...

And BP purpose ? ... most likely a component usable in higher end armor or weapons

    what do u guys think ? :)

Good thinking overall... but don't worry about having too much praetonium in storage, my friends! This element has many uses! :)

  4. Great to hear :) Must say I'm really liking all the changes and progress that is being made. Keep it up!

  5. Never mind a burner, we need a refiner that will work in AG! It's hell carrying all that heavy stuff up to NI just to refine it...then back again to craft it, like as not.

I know that our hand-held refiners are anachronistic. But how putting a tannery here and there so we can refine our hides to leather and a...a... um....whatever the Ancient Greeks used to refine metal. Oh! and spindles/looms or whatever they used to make thread, cloth etc.

    jay :)

LOL, good ideas jay! I agree it can get real heavy during hunting without refining. Hate putting stuff in AG storage because I always forget to bring it back to NI.

And for refining metal we would need a smelting furnace if you wanna be authentic. Maybe Meg can whip us up a pocket-size smelter! ;)

  7. Yeah, I'd love to see refining stations in line with the setting, in AG.

Giving this a bump so CGO sees this.

My dream for Greece is players in formal Greek dresses, using hand-held refiners resembling ancient handlooms or drop-spindles; while other players in workman's tunic visit blacksmith locations and forge minotaur and cyclops armor into bronze-age weapons and decorative votives... but there are a lot of aspects in Greece and in Entropia to consider besides just my love for classics.
