New Year, Same old Shit

The one thing I can say with certainly is ... MA never gave me a hassle about any of my deposits, and the few withdrawals I made didn't have any glitches either, just the wait time. I also never had any issues with support cases either, but there were only a few there as well, and they were handled in a quick and professional manner, so no complaints from me there either.

I would SO be playing this game if it were better optimized and the lag wasn't an issue. I have a really great PC, and while Arkadia always seemed to be the most optimized (that was Dave's plan), it too now has its issues, which is a damn shame.

I want to play, but there's so much wrong I just can't, and that's unfortunate.

 

Yup taking money was never an issue for them ;) Actually afaik the economy and security has also always been rock solid. Interesting you would be playing if the performance was better

"Playing" for me is different than playing for (I would say) most others, because it wouldn't be about hunting, crafting, mining, or any of the usual things that "players" get involved with. For me, it's "writing" about the universe - my lengthy history in the game shows that.

I'm all about the social environment and providing entertainment for the community, or writing about what's going on, but when you can't trust that things are going to work as they're supposed to, it makes it difficult to plan and organize anything special, or to even provide coverage for someone else who might be coordinating something.

I have a great computer setup, but the lag and rubberbanding has consistently gotten worse, even on Arkadia, and there are any number of people who continue to complain and submit support cases for a multitude of things that prevent the universe from working as it should - PCF, as well as this forum is full of such content, so I don't have to point anything out.

Never once did I ever say that I hated the universe - NEVER - what I hate is that there is a major lack of quality in the game mechanics, a negligence in detail (see McC's blog for more info), and how certain events are delivered to the players - that's why I don't "play" ... but I don't need to leave a wall of text for people to know what the issues are, there's plenty of sources that do just that. That's not to say the developers haven't done anything good, I think they have, but I also think they missed the mark in a huge way.

As far as I'm concerned, Arkadia is the only planet employing the dynamics needed for building a true community, although it seems the revival of their storyline has fallen by the wayside again, so not sure what's going on there. However, Arkadia is my home and the planet I enjoyed writing about the most. I have nothing left, but if I were to do anything at all, it would be to become an official citizen of the planet.

See ... I can't even give a simple response ... hazards of being a writer ... I want all the answers to be known up front as much as possible ... they call that 2nd step mentality, but it doesn't always work.

 

You are a bit bigheaded, MS9. Several other "gamers" mentioned this point at other places. You always use a shitload of words. I know this method. It's pretty fine. I use it occassionally in my German language ;-) But it's just a game to me. Probably for you too?

 

I said what I wanted to say, because PE/EU was all about the social scene for me Jamira, and no, it wasn't just a game to me, so please accept my words for what they are and how I express them. As far as length is concerned, I could give you a "shitload" of names of those who have surpassed even my walls of text.

The interesting part of EntropiaPlanets is, that it became a home for vetreans, pensioners, historians and OZtwo. Well, it seems to be a good place for retirement ;-)
