Okay, I know I’ve been away for a "few" years, but what happened to our gifts? Halloween gifts, Christmas gifts, and so on? I’ll admit I was deeply disappointed when nothing popped up for Halloween - and now I gather I shouldn’t expect anything from Santa either (even though I’ve been a well-behaved Nun since my return ... ). So now we have to invest in our own 'gifts' by taking part in their little cash cow, Mayhem? And yes, I’ve done that. Yes, I’ve bought keys for strongboxes. And yes, I’ve ended up with an unwanted stash of skeleton clothes in every color and so much fireworks that I could bomb an entire continent with it … but nothing of real value. I remember it used to be that we’d get gifts based on our deposit rate ... or was it how 'old' we were ... perhaps I don't remember anyway … but everyone still received a little something. And every year, the items were unique. What do you all think? Can a childlike soul still hope for any surprises this Christmas? (Oh, and Lootius forgive me if I missed an old post about this)
Yep, miss those too. Used to be up to three - one for everyone, one linked to avatar progress (I think), and the third was for depositors. Seems like such cheap and easy CRM I'm surprised they stopped them.
It was just that little appreciation, you know ... for being a part of the game and community. And now everything is so ... well .. predictable ... ( = boring )
IIRC it went like so: 1. Everyone gets this one 2. Everyone who deposited this year gets this one 3. Everyone who owns an estate gets this one (not deeds I don't think?) But indeed didn't see anything this year for Halloween on Caly... (and I actually logged in for Lykke's event) It's possible they only do Christmas these days?

LOL! Crazy to see you folks still here. At least two I know from the past, Lykke (+Peter) and Wistrel. Not sure about Shadowsong ... probably we shared the job as judges during the WoF-Games. Lately I tried to log in again after so many years (left the show in February 2014). But the card-reader didn't work anymore. No problem. I'm done with it.
Hi Jamira Glad you're still with us (in the life rather than Entropia way, not that having you in Entropia would be a problem, indeed would be nice). Lykke's been something of a more recent return, didn't ask but my guess is her kids reached an age where she has more time for personal hobbies and seems to be enjoying herself re-establishing as something of a community leader in Entropia (not in a official capacity, I just mean as someone who is having fun doing so). As for me... I'm hopefully coming out of (at least in some ways) what has been (well continues to be... just in a different way - but maybe not as bad) quite a difficult time. Essentially health and family stuff but I'll add nothing fatal, at least not for me anyhow. So I've not really been in Entropia, or even checking the forums much. I do miss it though. I do want to spend some time just roaming the wilderness of Calypso as I tended to do... but TBH got a bit of depression going on and.. well you know how that works... not wanting to do the things you want to do as it were. I don't think it will be a long term thing... it's just what's order of the day at the moment. Anyhow I'm coping so don't worry, it's just what's current at the mo everyone says it's completely normal/understandable given my personal goings on of the year so far. As for Entropia... I can't remember if they finally put a nail in the GC coffin as it were but I think in my case my reader spazzed too many codes at once and I got out of sync and then the method MA have to re-sync it wouldn't work. I think what I gathered from talking to support was that the readers would work but the stuff to re-sync is dead so the only option at that stage was to remove it. The process wasn't too bad I forget exactly but I think it was a support case with ID to remove the GC reader then I added their app. I was really not keen to do the app but actually, turned out everyone was right. The app actually is a tin of ronseal wood stain, and definitely does what it says on the tin. It works well and it in some ways is kinda fun to use. So yeh I'd encourage you to talk to support. They were pretty useful about this sort of thing, at least when I did it maybe a year back. Anyhow will still be hovering around at the edges. Wistrel
