What's the big deal about scanning skills anyways? Someone care to share some insight?

"Dear mindark, i'm going to throw free money at you and i'll keep doing it till you stop me. You retards!"

 

There was big scanning skill gain nerf around 2006 or 2007.
I stopped skilling loooong before so called scanner gate.
Because - noobs get some skills reasonable normal fast like with gun (no loot with scanning, just decay) up to 2k.
To go to 5k was even in that time real pain, a lot of money for decay and shit load of lost time.
But to dream scientist unlock on 6k is nightmare.
After scannergate even if some cheater as in this recent case reveal how he or someone else do and one use this trick there is no hope to do it in reasonable time.
To master scanning today is literaly inpossible.
All those witch hunters who probably helped in this 16 yeasr to kill profession probably dont know how many thousands of cllicks need to gain just 1 skill gain messge (not skill point but just skillgain messge in chat) of zoology once you passed 6k. Even using scanner with biggest decay do not help much.
Need to realy thank to all low lifers in EU for this. They were probably incentive for scanner gate and big nerf on all investigator professions wich killed it.
I hope one day MA do to them the same service by making their guns to deal damage every 5 minutes one shoot on same mob and ofc without loot, just decay.
Profession (five of them humanoid, animal, mutant, robot and technology) - was never developed further maybe also thanks to such people.
Just think that MA made mobs DNA to drop in loot instead to let scientists to do it.
Also those who are afraid that someone will unlock scientist by scanning and for that dedicate all their time on witch hunting and spamming support with that - are very smart, they don't have time to grind or even occasionally hunt because of their spy activity so they are very "eco", they do not need to deposit too, they do not decay.
But still good that they do not know that you can unlock scientist way faster by decaying faps. Well better they dont know because that could force them to deposit a lot money as decaying healing right tools (L) for right level cost a lot, or better too much, so they would be forced to finaly contribute to EU.
Btw dont tell them that there is a lot cheaper and a lot faster method then faping and scaning to unlock scientist - by repairing mothership.

 

Was time when you could buy all storage boxes (C) and 3 basic color blue, green, yellow paint cans in TT, lol like today nanocubes .
So nowadays crafting explosives we can add.

 

After big nerf Akbar organized few times scanning event to scan vehicles.
60 or more vehicles where you scan each once and when you finish last one first was ready to scan again.
Everyone was invited and all could feel for long hours how slow is skill gain even on noob level because Technology Investigator was new introduced profession.
For that its beyond my understanding that someone find problems if players scan.

 

MA support bots.
Ten years of fight and explanations about how easily is to ruin health, fingers and hands by clicking endlessly.
Until MA finally implemented auto use function so shutting up all those bad mouth of auto claimed EU police and witch hunters and support spammers.
But everyone is still boting also those most loud with mouth full of shit which prevent them to stop for a second and think about.
Below are few examples where we all use sophisticated automation and we are helped and supported in doing so by MA.
