Things seemed to go well this weekend. I had some bad runs and then I had some good runs. Overall I ended up about +20 PED, I put 14 of this into my storage as savings, hopefully it can stay there and grow instead of going back into surviving, but for now I can say I have 14 ped saved for the next thing I want to invest in. I got my personal best find with the rookie gear, a size VII (average). I was thrilled, as I told my soc this is like getting a global with the rookie gear. :) Well, at least for me right now it is. Still haven't hit level 1 in any of my mining professions again, but I'll get there eventually. It took a year and a half to get where I was before and I had to spend a lot more time getting to this stage then. Finding stones was definitely a faster way to go for me, and having all the TPs already helps. :) Oh, and for any other non-depositor out there, saving your profits is a good thing, if you want to make it anywhere in this game make sure you work hard and try to save your profits to reach your goals, don't think that just because you had a good run that this means you can gamble bigger (such as buying amps) because if you do you'll just lose all your ped again and have to go sweat or hunt for stones. Also, specify what you are willing to lose per day if your savings is also the backup for you. Meaning if you are going to do something, like mining, plan to be able to do ONE run a day and if you lose bad and your returns can't pay for a second run then stop and go back to your basics if you must continue playing, go sweat or hunt stones, get more TPs, go driving if you have a car or spend some time with your soc doing something, just don't continue depleting your savings beyond what you said you could afford to lose in a day. Woo, hey, look at that, turned it into an advice post, anyway, enough of this for now, everyone learns their own way so my rant will only do as much good as you let it.
Looking good Sorven :) You should doctor up the old tutorial and put it on the wiki here :) Or submit it for the tutorial competition over at the calypso forum. narfi
Oh, I dont know, but talk to tass and Razor here, the wiki would still be a great place to share it, esp since you are obviously following it here on your blog :P you could link to it when you do things from it in order to help new players understand the consepts behind what you are doing. narfi
