Opportunities for investment

I recently have become fortunate enough to revive a tower mining on Calypso.

I am going to keep the majority of the peds in game and would like some advice on good opportunities for investment with the remainder. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would be very grateful and perhaps even willing to reward those who offer the best ideas, yielding the biggest returns.

I don't know anything about the real estate market in EU but I have heard it could be a good option for investment and resale?

I look forward to what you all have to say,

Land lot deeds are returning 20-25% yearly right now.

You don't have enough to buy a land area, only shops and apartments. If you're smart about those you can probably make money, but it's 'work.'

You could camp auction and snatch up 'deals' but you'd have to know what's a deal and what isn't. Again, work.

You could be a trader in Twin. More work but steady income.

Your other option is an unlimited SIB gun or unlimited mining amp (small one). Used properly these will also make money. More work, but at least it's 'play' work.

I'd go with the land lot deeds. The downside risk is that Calypso becomes a ghost planet, but that doesn't seem likely for a while.

Mmm, you could also buy skills for one of the service professions, color, texture, hair, etc. You'd be in a small club of good service providers if you did this one, but I think the customer base is pretty small.

I would agree with Noodles on that.

Another option would be interplanetary trader, but that is work+time+high risk

Thanks Noodles, I had thought that Land lot deeds would be worth having too. I will certainly purchase a few over the next few days/ weeks once some of the peds has come through as I can only see them at this moment in time going up or at least remaining fairly stable.

Well if you bought 15 CLDs and assumed you got 4ped a week each, thats 60ped weekly or 240 ped a month. (about what you would get if you deposited 25$ a month)

How does that compare with your current depo schedule?

Thats passive income, what could you actively do with that much ped that would make more?

    Ore trading,
Say you turn it over twice a week and make 2% after auction and/or travel costs, thats 680ped a week or 1360 a month. (about what you would get if you deposited 140$ a month)

Too active? What about the middle ground and buy a booth/shop on a foreign planet.

6k for booth 2k for shopkeeper, 5k for inventory. Say you sell 1k ped of goods weekly with 4% markup over your purchase price(you have to hunt for deals) thats only 40ped, but suppose you had 5k ped of sales weekly, that's 200ped. (you would have to be pretty specialized and in high demand for 5k i think)
(this option gives you ped left over to either trade, or do your normal 'fun' activities hunting/mining/trading)

Those are the three obvious options I see.
One is easiest with least profit.
One is hardest with most profit.
One is a mix of the two and adds a new 'fun' to your normal activities.

Good Luck with your choices, and gz on the find :)

ps. I chose option 3 for myself when presented with the same predicament. Maybe not the smartest choice, but IMO the most fun and immersive.
