Entropian Blogger - what words can say

This isn't really me blogging more I just wanted to share something I found recently.

Really the words on this site could not sum up my feelings on Entropia better. I don't really have an issue with vu10 etc (but then I skipped it for half a year anyhow) and have been lucky enough to not really have been scammed. Still, there is not a lot there so worth a read (there are 2 parts of a story too =)) ).

A couple of bits I really liked:

Upon logging and creating characters each of us was greeted by scenery that we could have only imagined before. For me it was awe inspiring, shadows covering the terrain, clouds in the sky, landscape glowing with light, and it was even better visually when night fell. I have heard many hunters complain about how nightfall makes hunting harder, but watching your mining claims light up the night has to be one of the coolest experiences in Entropia.

Entropia is a game of great opportunity, a game of legends, a lessen in economics and a game which has helped many of us to obtain life long friendships with people whom we would of never meet otherwise. Entropia is a game about friendship, kindness, and economics which is why we play. No matter what MindArk throws at us we will forever remain Entropians.

Upon hearing the basic principles of a real cash economy many gamers eyes
light up with joy. Already they can see themselves relaxing on a beach sipping
on a delicious drink taking in the sun, all because of a game. For those first
few days everything is amazing, the fact that it takes 5 hours to make ten cents
doesn't matter.

and in particular...

Some of the greatest players in this game don't own malls, shops or
asteroids, they own a gun, some ammo and a bit of gear, and just love hanging
out with their society mates. They might not be the people who can take down a
hog solo or loan out a Mod Merc, but they are the people who no matter what
value friendship over that Mod Merc. Entropia is not about making money, it is
not about owning the best gear, it is about trusting someone enough to give them
you prized possession. At times you might get burned, but when you're not its
the greatest feeling in the world, for me that feeling is worth more then every
pec I own in Entropia.

Thanks to this person for writing this... its only a shame the blog ended 2 years ago... ah well
