It was another fine day on Next Island. With the number of teleporters I needed to collect diminishing I took time out to do some hunting with friends. The creatures were not so eager to give up their riches as in past days but returns were sufficient to keep me afloat. Once the markets get jump started here and we figure out what uses there are for all these crystals a better sense of stability is bound to emerge.

In my travels I noticed a few areas where people were getting stranded. The sacred death tikis do not seem as efficient at keeping creatures away from teleporters, revivals and other sensitive areas. I was able to make my escapes by drawing mobs away from revives and teleporters and my gear allowed me to have those extra seconds that count when trying to fell danger. But I noticed several people that were not quite as lucky. When possible I attempted to help rescue these poor souls and include them in my escapes and offering my advice on tactics. Sadly many appeared in a state of shock and left me feeling a bit helpless. Unmoving and unresponsive as they died and revived repeatedly in apparent dismay over their situation. Lacking sufficient gear a VTOL would be a great asset in exploring this dangerous new world. Calypso may be a dangerous place but Next Island is still much the wild place in comparison. Perhaps when more settlers arrive we`ll make headway into making it a safer place. Perhaps a better effort from myself as rescuer is in order.

I spent a little more time observing and culling the robot population around the portal. Despite all the other interesting things on the planet I am still drawn there. It waits guarded like a sleeping giant. Not yet ready to reveal it`s deepest secrets. I can`t help but have premonitions of the things we`ll see in this area and the implications on the rest of the planet and universe as a whole. For now it`s just another day and another decommissioned robot.
