Planet Calypso: Did someone want an old map?

    map.JPG Had a feeling this was asked for recently.. I just found my old one. When I look at this I really wish they would bring back all the old points of interest. Makes the place feel so much more lived in!

    It was me so thanks for finding it :thumbsup: - was also wondering if this is the same as the first PE map before PE became EU.

    Thx, I'll check the wiki again... Maybe the map I'm thinking of never existed. It's not the one before the SGA, that one I've got, but I heard somewhere that the original PE map was much smaller than the original EU Calypso map.

    The beta map was just a 10x10km square. I'm looking for that map too. Once it was there but unfortunately archive.org misses the image file.

    Yes, that sounds like the one. Just want to get an idea of how many TP areas there were in the beginning...

    In the source code of the archve page you can still find the image map data:

    Swamp: Various creatures such as Faucervixes, Atraxes and Drone Soldiers inhabit this swamp and its surroundings

    Human bunker

    Enemies: Female mutants who make damage around 0 - 20hp.

    Area 41: Large settlement called Area 41. Has every terminal and a monument.

    City of Average sized city called Hadesheim. Has every terminal, a hospital, a Junkyard Bar, a power plant, an insurance store and couple of monuments.

    Area 39: Large settlement called Area 39. Has every terminal and a Junkyard Bar. Perhaps the most used meeting point.

    Fort: A place.

    Fort: A place.

    Human bunker

    Fort: A place.

    Fort: A place.

    Fort: A place.

    Fort: A place.

    Outpost: Small outpost.

    Fort Fury: A fort. Has every terminal and a Junkyard Bar.

    Shopcontainer 5: Has all terminals and a teleport pad.

    Shopcontainer 6: Has all terminals and a teleport pad.

    Dead volcano: Dead volcano called (?). Various enemies lurk in here. Mostly mutants and dinoes.

    Bridge: A bridge.

    Enemies: Dark Mutant Female Assassins who have damage range of 0 - 20hp.

    Enemies: Faucervix Dominants who have damage range of 10 - 50hp.

    Trading Station: Trading station with all terminals.

    Enemies: Generation 02 Warrior Robots. They hit hard, anything up to 150hp.

    Thanks, seems like only a few areas at the beginning. A swamp, a bunker, Area 41, Hadesheim, Area 39, one or two others...

    Yeh I think so... ah yeh the forum is ah well its actually documented in my "history of forum's" article in TCP but essentially its the old e-pec forum that got rebranded as virtualmindhive at some stage. Its more or less dead now. The only interesting thing that was happening was noggin's SPONG game and then that went sour so its kinda had it now.

    There may be one if Entropia pioneers forum comes back to life. Apparently one of my soc mates got it up and running again 2 nights ago, said we could log on and everything. Alas I missed it, he had it in his pocket by the time I got there.... hahaha actually given today's tech that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't still up! :D

    Yea, I always wondered what happened to entropia pioneers, esp as I used to be on there once... They used to have quite a few of the old PE maps and I ctrl-C'd and ctrl-V'd a few of them onto my HD, but that was some years ago and I had a systems crash so had to reinstall win-xp, so I lost those :|

    I remember all these old forums. EP, ER, VirtualMindHive. My offer still stands. If they want the content to be retained for historic purposes, we'd be happy to host it, or import it.
