I ended up in a minor fight with someone there in the thread about her. Some shit claiming everyone was being toxic then going around splitting hairs over subjective job titles and telling everyone to go learn to read. I'm starting to see what you mean about some of the MA fan boys.
Still.... it is no weirder than anything else in 2020...
I would like to ask them about the "general networking optimisations" in fact... how about a video on how they are optimising the network code?
It could just be adding some more hardware. Somehow I doubt the engineers at MA are capable of handling network code in any way, shape, or form.
yeh but surely that wouldn't require a client update?
I saw multiple reports that the update was 0 kb. I wouldn't know, haven't logged in in months. But if the update was indeed empty as first reported, it'd either be a purely server-side fix, or simply adding more hardware. The fact an update would be pushed could be to ensure server/client versions remain the same.

This question requires a more detailed response than we can present at the moment.
We will get back to this question next week.
15th October, 2020. Going on 2 years later. I wonder who has the courage to ask why this Question 1st why was no reply 2) why it taken 2 years (lol 2 years).
Responsible gamb err gaming?
ask that question. Again but ask why it was never answered when Dennis said This question requires a more detailed response than we can present at the moment.. He still works at Mindark (Cousin of David).
Gl there :)
Q: How valuable are these AMAs ?
A: These AMAs are completely worthless.
Yet those poor bastards will ask stupid questions again anyway and recieve stupid answers.
Listen and repeat...
OK so... I just had a look at the rules. Ignoring for the moment that having rules surely negates calling something a AMA... with the rules they have set... they really do rule out a hell of a lot of stuff... nearly everything I've thought of relates to a likely already in progress/ "resolved" support case.... which is "off limits".
It effectively means you can't ask about anything that might be considered "wrong" with the game. It constrains questions to "speculative future/what if's" which we know are pointless cause MA will say they'd like to do that at some point and forget it, or generic wishy washy corporate stuff like "tell us about your role within Mindark".
For example, I'd really like to ask them about the nature of the sound bug that is preventing Cyrene vehicles from having sounds for I don't know how many years now.... but that almost certainly has a support ticket so is "off limits".
Something I note looking at the questions already asked.... most people have already ignored the rules.
Well.... I tried. I can just see David Simmonds breaking out the ban hammer at that one...
Maybe @NotAdmin could try weighing in with a technical question about working with the database? ;)
No1 still has had the guts to ask that question (of course San wont do as we all know i lost all respect for it a long time ago).
What it asked was a perfectly good Q and an answer was promised. 1000's read this forum so bump
Wow, not a single real question. Kudos for that. x'D
All could be answered with yes, maybe, I dont know...and it wouldnt change anything...nothing...
So, no real questions = no real answers = epic repetitive bullshit, like always.
I cant wait for the "Thank you MA for the "answers" you gave.."..fuck off x'D
I think you are being unfair there McCormick. Mine at least warrants more than that. Unless of course they reply "yes we could" or "maybe we could" or "no we can't" and don't actually elaborate.
But yes most of the questions don't follow the rules (which basically deter the asking of anything real anyhow and negate the point of AMA).
I liked the one about the future of the engine and about putting stuff on the ground again. I just wish they'd elaborated more on why the 2nd one is important or at least linked a complaint thread about when they removed the ground placing feature... (still say they were lazy fuckers to do that - I'm still waiting for them to remove the entire game cause they CBA to fix the bugs - a simple text adventure would do).
Who cares of a criminal institution brings back item dropping in this state of the game ?
And if a feature gets only added every 2-4 years...just to get abandoned asap, just to suck even more PEDs out of the poor bastards...
If bugs gltiches and exploits rule this casino...
A new game engine ? LOL, never...
No communication since years...embarassing...
Repetitive drama, fails and bullshit...
But ya, the AMA will seed some hope again...wait, no...there are no real questions.
Let them gamble, thats all what is left. And some bigboys still claiming its all about the skills and...*puke*...
