I was thinking for the month of March I would dig up all the dirt I can and possible conspiracy, and Tass will sing odes to how great and moral MA is. Just joking of course, but here is something interesting I found. http://www.entropiaforum.com/forum/eu-general-discussion/202620-returning-fold.html
Implications? Either MA had reactivated her(his?) account which re-listed it on the register and was just a mix up in not getting her the log in information, or..... The glimpse of total # of players in the game we saw when the player register was first introduced showed not just active players but ALL players. This would mean that the player base is much smaller than assumed even by the skeptics.
Lol, I cannot sing at all. But I don't think MA fake registered account numbers. And I think the number of players in the player register (~300k) was the total number of active and inactive but not yet terminated accounts. Meaning accounts that have been logged in at least once in the 750 days before. And then there could be a little peculiarity regarding terminating accounts. The ToS/EULA paragraph about account termination has been changed at some point in time. It could be possible that one has to agree actively to the change (fx by logging in) to make the changes valid for the according account. Meaning for accounts that have not been logged in after the change the old conditions might still apply. Just an idea.
If this person forgot the avatar details it's possible they forgot the avatar name. The one they found may be someone else with a similar name. Also it's possible after an avatar is deleted someone else creates one of the same name. Just some of the possibilities. I don't know either would make sense to perhaps contact this jelly person for more details to rule out some possibilities.
I can say 100% that accouts older than 750 days remain in player register. When I was new to EU, I made an account that I wasn't happy with my name, so soon after made my avatar now that i've played with for years. Also, I had an ex that I got into EU for about a month during that time and made her an account. Both of these accounts haven't been touched since late '08/possibly Jan of '09 and are still in the player register. (I recently noticed this and messaged support so I wouldn't get any negativity for a scrap account made years ago just incase and I can't do anything about them since I don't remember any info except the avatar names :/)
Perhaps they delete all items on the avatar after a year? I remember someone posted they lost some uber gun because they didn't log in for over a year and lost it. Klown what did support say? did they say anything about inactive profile names (older than 1 year) staying on player register?
When I contacted support it was pretty much just to inform them that the accounts appearently still exist since in player register/see if they can get rid of them to cover my ass because I don't want any chance of getting screwed over because of it. They just said i'd have to send a support case from those accounts to get rid of them. Didn't really have any conversation of how long they will exist etc, but yeah, they've been completely inactive for at least 3 years now easily.
