Melee crafting

  1. Please NI developers pay attention!

Cost to damage ratio on normal items is always around 4 damage per pec

When you need to spend a fortune on a gun to craft the cost is spread out over the life of the gun and all ammo put through it

On Melee its all up front so if you make a BP cost 400 ped in markup for a 10 ped click on a 80 ped item you just drooped the cost to damage to about 1 damage per pec

This makes all the effort you put into designing these weapons USELESS as they are not usable without wasting most of your peds. These items wont even be used

Melee MUST have almost no markup cost to craft

  2. Unless of course they unlimited then up front cost is spread over life of item and its not bad

  3. You know what I find interesting Kitten?

That the BP's have been through MA's 'balancing check' and they gave it the thumbs up :/

Simple solution: Way smaller crystal amounts to let the crafters do a normal run and not just a single click now and then, animal oils and ores/enmaters for the rest so that the economy cycle will flourish.

P.S. Please use oils on the swords so that they can fill up with oil residue and have a viable markup.

  4. Definitely

    See also flightspirit's thread:

    We want BP compo change
    (on this subforum)

Am not giving a link to the thread because links on this forum DO NOT WORK and I have ceased to believe they will ever work again

Yeah, what the hell is up with MA's balancing team? They should have spotted this huge mistake

  5. Hmm... spotted the mistake much like they did for the various Calypso higher level craftable swords and power fists and a whole bunch of Geotrek weapons? The balancing team seems to be at best concerned with things not being too easy, but never with too hard.

  6. well, I'm trying to bump this message but it sees that I can't.

  7. whats the tt value on the crystals though? - MA dont factor MU into anything, they never have , they never will, its up to us the player to come down to earth on the REAL MU value on these items rather than a MU that makes it imposible to craft , Im on break atm cause i went broke on NI , unfortunately i tted 800ped of NI crystals just to keep playing a day or 2 more. many of those items arent hard to get if you camp, but ancient greece mob items are really hard to get with TT weapons and VERY time consuming , im sure theres gonna be plenty of sword bps around when i come back and hopefully MU will be a bit more down to earth, problem is you need Unrefined Crystals for quests and refined crystals for crafting items ..hmm

  8. The problem isn't the TT value Agis, it's the rarity.

Crystals and, rightly in this case, animal parts only drop in stacks of exactly 1, and not from every mob. With certain blueprints needing a variation of crystals, most of them in numbers ranging from 15 to 60, you realize that the possibilities to be actually in a position to do a decent crafting run are next to 0, since thousands of mobs need to die for a single click on the BP.

Not to mention that the BP's I have seen don't even use some of the most common drops as animal oils, wools etc making it even harder for a hunter to survive here.

  9. i see your point - i shouldnt have tted my crystals im kicking myself for it now, but i needed to survive
