Getting out of Rocktropia?

    Hi I have recently made my first character, however I made him on Rocktropia. I have heard this is a very bad place to start, and so far have only found high level androids that kill me really easy.

    Is it possible to get to calypso? How do I do that? Is it free? I have 0 PED now because I can't find the easy guys to sweat.

    Do I need to remake my account?!?!

    I guess it was just a matter of time before cases like this start to pop up.

    You should try writing to support and ask them move you to Calypso. It really is unfair to start up there at the moment. Be persistent with them, demand to be given a fair start to the game.

    Maybe one day when Rocktropia stands on its own feet and has a helpful community and its own Sweat Camp and Nea's it will be ok for newbies.

    ouch - this is really horrible, and I can tell now it's gonna be a huge problem for NEVERDIE and ROCKtropia! It's like 'stavnsbundet' in danish - old old system were you were bounded to your area/profession by the 'leader' og the town .. and you had to pay a fee etc. Dunno how to explain that ;)

    Anyway, a new way for MA to ensure people will start depositing ... OR make sure they will quit even before they begin :(

    I would post this same message in neverdie's forum and rocktropia's forum ... this guy usually checks and should come with a quick solution for u (if he wants to keep his planet going on)

    One other thing you could do is let you mother or father make an account on Calypso and play with that :biggrin:.

    Remember that it is not allowed according to the EULA to have more then 1 account, so ask a relative instead to make it with his/her email address.

    I would ask support to move you to calypso, if they refuse ask them to kill this account and then set up a new email (hotmail,yahoo etc), then reregister on calypso.

    I think atm at least this will be quite a problem for ND and Rocktropia, seems a little dumb to start the planet so unfriendly to new accounts.

    Hmmm. Not good. Hope MA will be leniant to those who started at Rocktropia with moving them to Calypso or Neverdie comes up with a solution. The mobs are not the problem: wolves seems like a nice starter mob. But there is no information or structure for newcomers (hey, sounds like my first day at Treasure Island, but at least I had a board who suggested me to go to Port Atlantis) I agree with Norbert as a work-around.

    Hope you get things sorted out Fledo.

    Thanks so much for everyones help! I didn't want to remake my account because thats just a pain in the ass.

    I can't find where to put in a help request... The game seems good but the interface is really clunky :P If someone could walk me through it :) ----EDIT: Found it on their site, thanks

    P.S I read the adoption form thank you so much! Game seems good but new player experience is kinda shit, especially on Rocktropia, good thing I don't give up easy :D

    Interesting issue actually.

    You can request your account be moved over to Calypso through Entropia support, accessible either via the Planet Calypso site or whatever Rocktropias official planet site is.

    I'm not sure what will happen, however that's the official channel to use - ND's forums will rely on ND seeing the post and taking action, whereas the support system will send it through EU support, then if needed automatically to Rocktropia support, until you get an answer :)

    Hi,
    Thank you for your inquiry. To travel to Planet Calypso you need to pay a 40 PED fee.
    As for remaking your account, it is possible, if you wish to do so, to terminate this account so that you can create a new one.
    Please note that once terminated, the account cannot be activated again. Since the balance in your PED card is less than 1000 PED (minimum withdrawal limit), you will not be able to withdraw any funds. If you wish to participate in the Entropia Universe again, you will have to register a new account.

    If I hadn't met the people at this forum and seen how helpful they have been this would have completely turned ANYONE off this game. Any ideas guys... Or should I just get my account deleted... Bloody ridiculous.

    What is the big deal? You have no skills or items if your story is true so just terminate your account and make a new one on Calypso.

    I agree with Xentic here . Simplest solution is re-make your account , as support suggested. But it's good that you sent in a Support case, as something really does need to be done about this situation.

    I don't know if you were interested in accepting my Soc's adoption offer, btw (have not heard from back Lykke) but would be happy to have that offer transferred to your new ava, if you do go down that route.

    If i were a planet partner, i wouldn't be happy about MA support telling people to terminate their account (on which i'd still earn some %, even if they leave my planet, because i "recruited" that player) and make a new one on Calypso (where i earn zero, nada nothing on, because the "recruitment reward" goes now to a 100% MA owned subcompany...)

    Just move that guy to Calypso ffs, >750K dead accounts is still not enough or what?

    That is actually the way to go. Its not good but no better way now. I hope John or FCP in coop with MA will fix that. So make new ava and hope we meet ingame at Calypso so I can give some directions to enjoy this universe.

    Yes, ofc it wasn't exactly clever to make RT so noob-unfriendly - but then again, neverdie only followed MAs long-standing tradition of publishing half-baked contents! ;)

    It's just, once again the same people have to suffer from the aimless course of action:

    The players

    And that it hits people freshly joining EU is... well, let's just say it's saddening.
