Discussion in 'Entropia News' started by EP-Newsbot, Oct 13, 2016.

  1. An issue preventing access to the final stage of the Gardening process has been corrected. No progress has been lost for affected participants. Our apologies for any convenience caused by this issue.

So... just to humour me. What do we know about gardening? Anyone clued up yet or can link any info? I guess I'm interested to know what the starting cost is (CLDs land cost, materials etc) and what the product or profit/ROI is?

    Cheers for any info

THE forum has some discussions on it, gushing over how expensive it is, but have yet to see any actual numbers on the table. They list the steps required and kind of expect you to count it together yourself.

yeh figures... I think these days people are too busy playing (or maybe doing other things) to sit around and compile info. It was a thing of the past.

I'll suck it and see then ;)

    • Plot Type Plot Size Start Req. Min. Req. Additional Req.
    • Small 20 x 20 m 27 CLD 9 CLD
    • Small+ 40 x 20 m 54 CLD 18 CLD 1500 x Composite Plank
    • Medium 40 x 40 m 81 CLD 27 CLD 3000 x Composite Plank
    • Large 60 x 60 m 162 CLD 54 CLD 5000 x Composite Plank

    Size Small - 20 x 20 - 39 Plots
    Size Small+ - 40 x 20 - 13 Plots
    Size Medium - 40 x 40 - 4 Plots
    Size Large - 60 x 60 - 2 Plots

Start requirements for smallest Plot, if you want one, is 9 CLDs
    Right now : (9*190$ = 1.710$)

Start requirements for largest Plot, if you want one, is 162 CLDs
    Right now : (162*190$ = 30.780$)

How to do gardening ? In short :

-You can grow fruits and harvest them, by "building" these boxes called "Gardening Box", (takes time)
which you can place around your plot. These boxes require materials.

-To now plant fruits in these (in stages), it requires even more materials. (and time)

-You cant just build unlimited "Gardening Boxes", as you need to skill up your "Gardening Points" 1st.

-After time X you can harvest fruits + remnants (water)

    From the other forum :

    Chris Cole:
I grew and harvested a Bombardo and got nothing

    Rampsy:
grew a caroot, got 10 genetic caroots (1ped each) and 0.56 ped water.
Both are still useless, because they are meant for future things. (Industry)
Not worth it at current prices

Industry and Future landing platforms on the shopping malls anyone ?
How many are doing tree harvesting as a main profession right now ?

This is just like crafting at the crafting machines and a mix of Farmville, but it takes longer and you need to pay a high price to be able to use this "system". Just like in Farmville, the upper dozen will throw in thousands of dollars into the "Gardening System" (or already did), just to be the 1st one to harvest the next "new" fruit. No matter if this "system" will be "put on hold" for another year or two. gj again MA.

Most items you craft are useless inside of Entropia anyway, called TT food.
Many players craft "Explosive Projectiles" these days, because of the "Slot Machine Factor", not because they need ammo or want to sell it.

Taken from the official Entropia site :

    Have a great time gardening!

    Hope that helped :)

So.... could walk around in entropia for a few hours to get some fruit and invest in one of these instead is what you are saying... and still have money still to burn!

  7. There was an so called update in 2016...but the system itself got forgotten.
