Colonist Jumpsuits - Now in Color!

Brand new Colonist Jumpsuits are now rewarded as part of two new mission chains: one on Planet Calypso and one on Planet Arkadia!

The mission chains — which are listed as “Colonist Jumpsuit” in the Mission Tracker — are intended for new players but are open to all. Check the Daily Mission Terminals on Calypso or the IFN Challenge Terminals on Arkadia for details.

The missions are designed to aid the orientation and socialization of beginners by enabling them to share a common starter experience.

Nah... pass, especially at the price. Would have been okay to just make them (C).

I think the order was green blue military green red grey white iirc (which I may not). First task is kill any 15 mobs

  6. I admit they look funky. So I started the mission chain.

    -Kill 15 mobs + visit 3 places + 1k shrapnel (green)
-get 300 sabakuma killpoints + 30k shrapnel (blue)
    - Enter into PVP Argus + get 90hp + 100k shrapnel (military green)
    ...maybe something is missing.

I decided to keep blue, as I like it.

And as you could wear coats and boots and armor and stuff on your OJ suit
back in the days, I wondered if...

...ofc now you can only wear a hat and glasses with it...and a wrench...meh...

Well... at typical "Wistrel Speed" I managed 15 mobs and 1.5 locations before I ran into a pretty sunset and started chatting of old times with people in #TheGate. But good to know I'm half way there to green at least, I can't remember the value of 1k shrapnel... was it 100 per pec? It will take me some time to do 300 value of sabas (I am slow) but should be a fun little target.

Enter PVP no prob, 90hp no prob, 100k... depends on what it is valued at. When you say missing?

You... you actually spent money on this game! I am shocked.

  9. Yes, I spent, not spend. ^^
More then 6.000 Euros in the 1st year or 2 (2004) of playing, which I all made back thanks to Terminator and items.
Now I play with the CLDs and AUDs that I still have.
So I play for free now, just to be sure there is no missunderstanding.

I wont put anymore money into EU, as long as Im not satisfied about the way development goes...probably never again.

  10. Maybe I missed a "go here 1st" in my list. Its pretty easy, but you got to pay for each new suit and trade in the old one you got before...ofc you can keep it if you pay even more...or buy all you already unlocked.

After a long time I had "fun" with a quest again. "Go here, kill that, collect this", as it was working and you ahdnt had to grind somethign for hours. Stopping at the military green one, as I simply dont need it. Without additonal clothes or armor on it, its even more useless.

For the 1st time I thought, these colonist suits would be nice having a buff like +2hp or run faster...becasue right now they are just...useless... ;p

    SEE ya around

Well.... much like life the majority of clothes are kinda useless... (aside from the warmth thing) I will admit that it is strange/annoying/crap that the new oranges are a single suit rather than separate parts. For men it could easily split in 2, for women 4. And I don't get why it can't "play nice" with other clothes/armour as the majority of other clothes do.

Similarly I'm all for small time missions. For the hard core they will take half an hour to an hour to blitz through, fun had, time spent, small ped blown, entertainment had. Everyone happy. For the slow coaches maybe some weeks of casually working your way through it a little at a time. Again, small peds blown, entertainment had. Everyone happy.

In German there even is an adage, literally "it's the same in green". So with the right heritage, you could have been warned.

I wasted the cost for using a tp chip to explore a location I already knew. I shot the 15 creatures in no time since I was doing that anyway and they were counting towards another goal. I smelled a rat when I was asked to hand over goods, which I never do easily or without knowing what I get in return. Went to explore what this was about and was shocked to learn on the forum that a respected and experienced player went down the slippery slope and was coaxed out of over 800 PED for this stuff. Of course his regrets were met with a cold shoulder. Thanks, but no thanks. If someone else likes it and at the price, all power to them. But at least know what you are doing.

On the other hand, I am rather positive about new developments. You just have to be a little street-smart about buying into anything. There are many roads I don't travel because they are made for different folks and I'm grateful for not feeling compulsion.

Hmm... one thing I wonder... are the new suits tradable... if it costs 800ped to get the hardest ones are people able to sell them on? I can't see why not... this is Entropia, land of the trade after all...

  17. 80 ? 800 ? And yes I know "dit is dit selbe in grün" :p

You can drop the new suits, so you can trade them.
You can "buy" all unlocked ones from the terminal whenever you want.
(if you have enough of the right items...leather and...shrapnel ?)

It was "fun" as it lasted, but already half the way it became boring and the effort not worth the reward...*yawn*

Wow, i stopped at green :woohoo:.

OK so about this.... I got the green suit, no issues had some basic leather in storage to keep the old one. Then went on. Lvl 1, yeh no problem, I had a fun time in the saba pit too, sharing the saba with others I did the required over 2 waves. Then stuck around a bit longer because I was enjoying it.

I didn't have any wool, what happened to wool? not seen any in years? So tried changing the green for blue. I thought I'd try some testing and deliberately kept the suit on while I traded it with the mission window. To MA's credit this didn't work (but in a not entirely obvious way) after it fails you need to do the "complete wardrobe" mission dialog then it remembers you have not finished the blue mission. Problem is that after this, even if I took off the green suit to trade it the trade kept silently failing.

Rather than muck about more I went and bought some wool at Twin and the extra materials exchange worked. Ho de hum... I really do wonder about MA. I mean if *I* can think of ways to break the system why can't they?

Note to MA: Hire me ,-)
To continue, I went to the PVP zone... this is all that is needed other than mullah? OK I guess for a new player that is a fair old bit of travel what will either require running/driving themselves or the more savvy talk to someone and get a lift.

So I guess it isn't too bad... something more fun might have been to have the mission randomly generate a small set of coordinates within the PVP that you need to reach though. Just entering it.... hmmm sorta leaves something lacking in my mind. If it involved a bit more PVP exploration I can well imagine some folks might camp out there on a bit of a hunt. This would make the whole thing a lot more challenging/fun and might require players to enlist the help of older players to get it done... ah well.

So yeh... military green... do I want to get it? I guess I'll see. I wonder what is required after...
