NEVERDIE is dead. Long Live Tutankhamun!​

It appears an anonymous hacker group hacked into the ROCKtropia source code and obliterated almost all NEVERDIE branding and mythology from ROCKtropia and replaced it with the name of an ancient boy king. A note assumed to be from the hacker group was found pinned to the door of Club NEVERDIE in New Harlem… “Tell MAMA No More BS Excuses – Fix the Freakin’ Economy!!! NEVERDIE is DEAD. Long Live Tutankhamen!

A representative for NEVERDIE said that although NEVERDIE cannot endorse this type of Cyber vandalism, he does appreciate the sentiments of the people, he admits that he shares their frustrations and agrees that if ripping down his own brand is what it going take to shed the light on ROCKtropia’s plight, then he too will sneak around at night with a spray can and deface every bit of NEVERDIE branding he can find. He did question however if People would feel that this was the right approach if they knew the true story of Virtual World War 1, but then he laughed as he recalled that most people didn’t even know that Virtual World War 1 really took place and how it was actually won and Who Lost and what was sacrificed, so why would they ever care…

rt technician holds what appears to be a 20 ped ul gun now? not sure if it's ul or not, if so I might buy it... anyone else tried it out yet? Weird place to sell it.

 

Is a nice Rocket Luncher :D. It does not colored so is blank...and it decays when you shoot in the air...Writed support case to MA ...also writed support case about the new UL blueprint for weapon that you can buy at technician and does not have all design added...I advice Evryone to write support cases to MA so they can fixed ASAP!!!

I was one of those who didn't like the over-branding, but ... I hope he didn't remove ALL of it, because that would be a shame. However, creative graffiti would be interesting to see.

Isn't all rocket launchers (and area damage weapons) suposed to decay when shooting in the air

 

neverdie should have done this when the planet launched. I doubt anyone still cares about it, and i really doubt that people who aren't coming now will start coming after the change.

I'm just glad we get rid of all those capital letters.

 

Is not the point why I writed support case...
1.was the blueprint wich is bugged: incomplete design...If you have in storage/inventory ..when you start crafting server crashes...
2.Weapon bugged is blank...When you use server crashes.. I do not mind if decays in air ...all weapons haved this for 10 years :)

So he asks for the players' opinions and then does the complete opposite? That's why his planet is in the toilet, not the branding.

And why Tutankhamun? How does that relate to any of the already disparate and confusing themes on the planet?

RT is doomed, and it's got nothing to do with the ND branding. Which is a pity, and I hope it sticks around long enough for me to finish the prison mission chain.

 

Well I think they are actually a relatively small team. So as long as they don't over spend they should be able to pootle along. One thing for sure, its a unique place. I think they score big on imagination points.

 

I think you can see Neverdie's Team in documentary "I am my avatar" on YouTube...is hard to make something that is not a Calypso II...Rt is not a copy of calypso..the theme is unique..he inspires from movies(universal studios),music, and from players too..

I don't think MA is going to go through the trouble of changing everything just for a PR gag, so I'm afraid this is the real deal, and all I can do is shake my head and roll my eyes. It doesn't fit with any theme whatsoever, and even the original Rock 'n' Roll theme seems quite disjointed, so I'm not really sure what he's doing or in what direction he's going - there doesn't seem to be any congruence or coherency, so I'm a bit confused about that planet.

 

As long as the insanity stays quarantined to that planet, let him do whatever he likes. If it all goes down the drain he only has himself to blame...He's as nutty as a fruitcake....He's even got raisins for eyes ;)

Seriously, that said though, I'm sure the guys heart is in the right place and I wish him all the luck and success if he can turn it around.

I do like the re-branding somehow, but why Tutankhamum? Wtf has he got to do with ROCKtropia? Why not some Rock Band or guitar or whatever anything related to ROCK Music... why the hell need to take a myth ancient name for that.. completly wrong choice imho...
