Undoubtedly you have seen MindArk's latest promotional artwork, inviting you to add a vote for EU on a top ten list of MMOs. It features a scantily clad lady pointing her finger at you, Uncle Sam style.

    MindArkWantsYou.jpg

Not only did it find its way to many an RSS feed (like our own), but it also was added to the Client Loader:

Boobies and gamers have a long history together, with attractive females often being hired to prance around at gaming conventions in order to attract lonely geeks top gamers to the booths of the company.

The history of women and gamers is not quite as old as the image used by MindArk, though. We received a tip that the image is in fact a reuse of an old movie poster dating back to the 1970s:

    Source: http://www.moviepostershop.com/i-want-you-to-enlist-in-the-army-of-love-movie-poster-1970

The movie in question is called "I want you (to enlist in the army of love)", and according to the poster it is "rated XXX" and features John Holmes. A quick Google on that gentleman reveals the following:

MindArk wants YOU not to know it's reusing artwork from old porn movies for advertising...

  2. I wanted to start a thread about this but i had second thougths.

Why would they use a female uncle Sam when i first saw the picture i thought it was uncle Sams wife or daughter or something. looked cheap, they have skills to design a cool pic right ?

I see Mindark as a corporation a bit like the templars or the rockefellors aka greedy bankers or illumanati.
The names of some items leads me to think that but also the female chick in the picture.

Mindark should becarefull about their game and and their time be it money or their corporation, why i say this you must ask well the 99% are watching some of us want peace or equal rights.

When the moment comes the game will cease to exist depends on mindark.

Make me wonder how long copyright last for?

    Oh wait here it is:
    1. For works created after January 1, 1978, copyright lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years. In the case of a joint work, copyright lasts for 70 years after the last surviving author's death. For anonymous and pseudonymous works and works made for hire, copyright lasts 95 years from the year of first publication or 120 years from the year of creation, whichever ends first.
    2. For works created but not published or registered before January 1, 1978, copyright lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years, but it will not expire earlier than December 31, 2002. If the work is published before December 31, 2002, copyright will not expire before December 31, 2047.
    3. For pre-1978 works still in their original or renewal term of copyright, copyright is extended to 95 years from the date that copyright was originally secured.
Looks to me that all 3 of them will mean that the image is still under copyright and MA can not use it UNLESS they bought it and they might have done that of course.

  4. While this is happening, Ke$ha does the one-eye sign, a way of saying that this sex and death worshiping cult that is full of suggestible idiots (representing the masses) is sponsored by the Illuminati industry.

It's a trend in our day and age.

    The dot's are being connected.

  8. LOL

LOL For a company that claims not to want any kind of pornography in their game, there sure is alot of references to it. I think they secretly own a pornography company also and sometimes the employees forgot which company they are working for that day.

hmmmm maybe John Holmes now works as a developer/marketing director of MA :)

Even MA did this. They had some orange suited newbies with low cut tops at a booth once I think.

Knowing what they are though is probably not something many would want to admit ;)

In other news, MindArk's CEO, David Simmonds, apparently handpicked the image himself:

Wonder if he handpicked the image from his personal "video" library? Doubt it has been released on DVD :)

  17. Now this is something I've been curious about for a while...

    Pic from that show:

Is the two girls in the pic the same ones in this image:

If it is, it's TheJoe's two bisexual girlfriends/lovers/nudist live ins...
    http://thejoe.com/tag/zoku/

TheJoe is Zatsu, i.e. Zentro Zen Zatsu, i.e. Benga Ben Zatsu, and the girls are Dana LoveDana Zatsu and Angel AngelGirl Zatsu. Back in the day, they were actually society mates when I was in Entropia Asia Cadets...

The girls did play a bit in game, but I think Zatsu just used their avatars as alts for the most part... He blew cash left and right. He did wormhole events all the time, and did a hell of a lot of crafting back then.

TheJoe actually more or less broke up that cadet society by starting a new society, Zoku, and a website to go with it and then essentially trying to blackmail the entire society in to paying him for the web design and isp costs... That's why I was in Entropia Asia Cadets before my avatar's 9 month slumber back then when EU got too powerful for my old computer's gpu and cpu before I could get a new computer....I didn't want to abandon EA like the other cadets did when they went over to Zoku. After I came back I went in to EA itself instead of the cadets as cadets was dead except for two or three people... I didn't stat in EA long because I'm not Asian and the guys in there were in the wrong hemisphere... got old having to be online at 2 AM to just have society chats, lol. I went in to EAC when an old friend talked me in to it back in the day after The American Soldier Society sort of fell apart (that was my first society in game the first month or two I was online)

I'm not sure if the OJ girls are the same as the ones in the pic since it's not an up close pic... I think it is though since they were at the CES that year. Probably revealing a little more than I should here but lets just say at that time they lived in Vegas and some of the society chats centered on their kinky living arrangements from time to time a little more than it should have.

Looking at the two pics, I don't think they are the same, but they were at the same ces show as ambassadors so it might be possible?

Re-reading the site that pic is from 2009 and the other talks about 2008, so guess It is something that's way off... but maybe not?

oops... that photo is from 2009 and the website is talking about 2008... so I guess it's not the same... move on, I'm just rambling about nothing again, lol.

At least now this little lost piece of history is here for the n00bs in Zoku who may not know how their little society originated...
