    YEAH! Message from SimLab's support:
"Developers are working on this, it will be included in the next update SimLab Composer 9.2"

And Autodesk finally got it sorted:

Well, would be very expensive to buy a license again and propably a better computer and a better VR-headset. But meanwhile I think it could be worth it.

I will ask them for a reduced retiree license ... ;-)

I'm using Fusion 360 which is free for hobbyists. I wonder if their other products might have similar licences.

I asked the guy for an ETA. He replied that there is no ETA yet. But it's okay. I can wait.

Parallel to the house of my childhood I took tons of screenshots of Castle Black (Game Of Thrones). This will become a real challenge!
The original set is very small:
    upload_2019-4-10_1-54-48.png
To make a 3D VR model requires to expand it a bit. Especially the gate to the tunnel through the wall is at the wrong place. It is at the west side, not north where the elevator is. No clue yet how to bring this into VR.
There is one single scene that suggests that Castle Black is bigger than expected:
    upload_2019-4-10_1-31-53.png
At the left (north) is the elevator at the wall. Right is the corner where the gate to the tunnel should be. At this picture we see more buildings behind that. So lets say there is a second courtyard and there is the entrance to the tunnel.

All this is enough to tell and show the story. But it's partly a fake. To get the real experiance in VR it's necessary to build a functional model. Two big question: Where are the horse stables and where is Maester Aemon's library?

This is sorta relevant but a friend of mine always complains that film companies make such amazing CG models or sets, and these never see the light of day besides the film. His argument is that you could make a VR world for people to visit following a film.

OK reality is that this would require work that no one wants to do but it would be cool. Take Hunt the Thing for example. That was cool

Another theme is TESO. I live at Velyn Harbour.

That's because crafting is pretty easy there. Short distances.
I run three crafters meanwhile to earn some money to buy a house. Two of them in Vulkhel Guard. Vulkel Guard is stress. But Velyn Harbour is good. This spot would be cool in VR!

Well, I hung out at the other theme today.

Warning! Probably sexual or porn content next time.
    (not in this post)

There is a lot of bullshit around. But one got my attention:
Virt-A-Mate (https://www.patreon.com/meshedvr). I installed it and have to learn it during next days.

First: The quality! Look what I see in VR with my Oculus Rift:
    upload_2019-7-8_0-18-50.png
By the way I love nostrils wich are illuminated from the inside. Same with clothes wich "fly" 5mm apart of the body:
    upload_2019-7-8_0-22-18.png
Alas, as far as I've learned from videos I will have lots of possibilities. Let's see.
It comes with breathtaking physics and inverse kinematic. It's a startup and they ask for support. I will check this and will probably become a "patron" ;-) Looks very promising!

Okay, my four years old computer makes noises like an old turbine. But I'm satisfied with the quality and the fluid motions. Works pretty good with my Oculus. No need to install something or edit settings. Plug and play! These guys have some potential to make really cool apps. They offer this:
    upload_2019-7-8_1-59-43.png
This means creation and saving of characters, outfits and animated scenes for 2D and VR. The app comes with two modes: Screen and VR to create the work. I will test it next days. A special potential would be to add AI. A learning AI. Okay, okay ... slow down Jamira. For the moment I am excited about what I already got.

Okay, it deals with sex. One can create male and female characters. I'm curious where it will lead to. At the moment you can interact with the avatar. You can grab one part of the body (head, hands, pelvis) to move the figure with inverse kinematics for changing it's pose. Or you can push it (shoulders, breasts, hands, head, hair) for temporary changes. For example grab a hand, make it grip something like a dick and move it. Because of inverse kinematics the rest of the body will respons (breast shaking).

At least one should have one free hand ;-)

The reason for me to start with VR was "Skyrim VR" at PSVR. The world of this game is still the masterpiece in my opinion and I want to see "Assassin's Creed: Origins" and "Horizon Zero Dawn" in VR too. The purchase of Oculus Rift enabled me to use my own content. But SimLab Composer still doesn't offer smooth walking and turning. At the other hand I was able to use "Mission: ISS", wich is great, but the quality is rough and it doesn't offer much exitement. Nothing read about "Star Child" for PSVR since last year. "Gran Turismo" for PSVR is nice but not worth the money. Other games are boring, made with stupid graphics or even just egoshooter games. I would like to see many more reconstructions of ancient places, like UBI Soft already did with ancient Egypt - including the tourist tour. Unfortunately not for VR yet!

So what? The porn industry can probably help to push the VR-market. Sex sells. "Virt-A-Mate" is a good start. And probably we'll get update 9.2 for SimLab Composer with smoth movement within this year.

Jamira's dream: The ability to combine all these possibilities ... to show ancient or phantasy places, tell stories where you can stand, move and interact with NPCs and probably the avatars of other participants in VR. I'm 65 already. Hurry up, folks!

I think I will visit Gamescom in Koeln next month ...

  11. I think my experiences with EU will help block any temptations to join another mmorpg, especially where real money’s involved.

Not sure if it’s down to EU or my age but gone off computer games in general these days preferring TV or reading or occasionally risking going outside into the RR (real reality).

Regarding the lure of VR experiences: yes I get this and I will probably dabble when it becomes more mainstream and headsets are cheaper.

I envy you guys’ enthusiasm though.

Not really. But thank you for the infos. I don't look for a new multiplayer game or platform. Nine years Entropia are more than enough for me. I do still play TESO but as single player.
Frankly spoken I was searching for erotic VR apps. Regarding own content: Virt-a-Mate comes with some small libraries of clothes, enviroment, furniture and "toys" ;-). Probably one day it'll be possible to add my own models as well. That would be pretty close to what I dream of.

    Thanks for the warning ;)

Interesting to keep an eye on where this tech goes.

ROFL! "... risking going outside into the RR ..." That's a good one!
    Same here:
A bit real life: relearning guitar, again reading books, listen to good music while sitting out in the loggia, watching movies.
A bit virtual life: TESO, Silent Hunter III, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and occasionally still Skyrim.
But I always had a strong urge to let my dreams come true. This story began more than 50 years ago. Writing stories, making drafts and paintings, building own and bought paper models, plastic model kits, 3D worlds and animations with 3D Studio Max, lately 3D prints. Now I arrived at VR. It is amazing for me because I know nearly everything I need from earlier jobs already. I own the necessary software as well. What I really miss so far is a good casual AI.

  15. I dream of living in a palatial home set in hundreds of acres of land.

Landscaped gardens, orchards, vineyards and farmland.

Quaint little stone built cottages for the various rural and farm workers to live with domestic staff, butlers, personal servants etc., permitted to dwell in the East Wing of the main house in relatively comfort.

I’d be living somewhere in the West Wing, maybe the Old Tower in the tiny flat there overlooking the fountains, considerate enough to dine in the Great Hall so that Gerard, the head butler, needn’t climb the Tower stairs each time my glass of Port needed a refill.

Strange how real this way of life seems to me, almost realised in a past existence perhaps?

I own one of my dreamplaces already. You can find a few copies of it on top of Monria's towers ;-)

But they are in a complete wrong landscape. Such an apartment should hang at a cliff above the Mediterranian Sea somewhere in the south-east of France, offering a wonderful view over the sea while swimming in the pool or sitting in the living room below. I would like to add a third part at water level: the hangar for the motor yacht.

    YES! Success!

I can import 3rd party 3D models into Virt-A-Mate! It's a bit like "from behind through the breast into the eye" ... but it works. I placed a simple tree into an ingame enviroment:
    upload_2019-7-11_1-53-25.png
    upload_2019-7-11_1-46-32.png
Probably I'll be able to use all of my own enviroments!
It's a bit tricky. I need Unity's Assessment Browser to do this.

Fortunately I had Unity installed already. This could become the start of a great story.

VaM is really nice with nothing but a mate in it. When it comes to assets it nearly kills my computer. Alas I made a serious attempt with my dream MX-5
    upload_2019-7-11_22-27-11.png
Well, the 3D-model of the car doesn't look very sexy. Same effect as in Rhino. Dunno what the creator did. But it was for free and I was just interested in practice import and placing characters in VaM.

So, with a better computer it can be really fun. Have to think about it ...

Fan_boy99 Ignore Spawn and San they are Sheeples

Once again, thank you for posting about other game experieniences (no auto-correct it means...ADMIN!?!?).

Just my 2 cents but I think most PAYING custimers are more intererested VR in boom boom (shooting). But VR sex can/will be a good industry.

Get the graphics a bit more realistic though?. Has good potential (we already know the potential).

KEEP MA WELL away from this 1 (but by now, every 1 (except those who send their Kids to College and Buy Cars thanks to Mind Ark...) knows to keep MA (Directors I mean not the outsourced Staff in Good Country who do the progamming) well away from this and that.

Why not just make Darkoni and 711 as in game mods, that's a good idea right :).

Steam Summer sale ended few hours ago. Same suckers keeping on the $2 per click token slot machine eh?. Too bad
