I miss Minopolis. So much fun getting into those buildings, and looking for hidden treasure. OR just hanging out confusing noobies who see yu on the radar, but have no clue how you got into the house.

Is that Mr Knox I see sitting there across from you? That guy triggered the whole ViagraFalls persona as a priest. Fuck, man. PE used to be special. Not just because of the exploration opportunities and the random things in the landscapes, but the community really fucking made it worth coming back time and time again.

It was expensive as a game back then, but I truly felt like we were pioneering exploration of new worlds with ancient history from times long gone by at the time. It was still fun to shoot mobs for hours, because items would drop freely. The game certainly also felt a lot cheaper back then (even though it was absolutely possible to lose your socks off in no time whatsoever). It just seemed less than a grind, though, and for sure, I didn't have the feeling the entire thing was money driven.

So many community events. So much weird but wicked fun stuff to do. Butt sliding competitions. Landgrab. Item art. Getting on top of them gigantic space towers or other buildings in towns. Fucking umbranoids.

  4. Yes! If they had introduced the current version of EU as Open Beta then gradually upgraded to Project Entropia MindArk would be hailed as Gaming superstars! :)

    Hurrikane's WoF!
At least at this event MA listened to participant demands. They gave special prizes to a player event.

  7. Hurrikane was awesome and WoF best part of EU along with old-style land grabs.

Not sure that MindArk’s involvement improved things though?

Prizes I think was the only dif..

  9. I thought MindArk influenced hunting areas in WoF or created special spawns for certain team matches (that were sometimes problematic)?

    Not 100% on this.

But I think Hurrikane started getting paid in some way by MindArk for running WoF and then it became less of a fun hobby for Hurrikane?

In any event I can’t fault the guy he is/was epic!

I was involved in WoF since it started in 2007. I was captain of Team Germany that year (wich ended in a desaster!) and judge as well. During all the years I talked to Hurrikane when we were hanging out at the crazy places Hurrikane choosed counting the globals and HoFs. Enough time to talk about several issues. We talked about connections to and support from MA as well. As far as I know MA ignored Hurrikane. But in 2008 MA announced WoF-jackets. We won 2012 and got a cup, a gun and a jacket.

After that things went wrong ... as usual with MA:

I think Hurrikane was a bit tired of it already ...

  11. Thanks Jamira that looked a really messy situation.

But at the end of the day it was Hurri’s competition so his word on it ought to have been final.

Disrespectful to the guy to make it a public slanging match, I’m sure you’ll agree, considering it was his baby and all the work he put into it.
