Wiki Report September 2011

Wiki is under continuous development. Improvements happen on almost daily basis.

The idea is to release a monthly report highlighting a few developments of the past month. Let's see how long we can keep it going. ;)

This is the September 2011 Report.

Statistics

• Average of pageviews/day: ~4500
• Total of pageviews by the end of the month: ~1,150,000

Development

• Introduction of structured data. It is now possible to assign properties to a page and values to properties. All values and properties are queryable which allows automatically updated tables, lists, etc., examples are the Version Updates pages.
• Version Updates Form to easily add version updates incl. structured data as mentioned above to the wiki. This can be done by adding a VU name in the field and click the button on the VU overview page. Existing VUs can be edited with the form by clicking the "Edit with form" tab on the specific VU page. Regular editing mode is still available via the good old "Edit" tab.
• Project Version Updates kicked-off and making use of the advantage of editing with a form and structured data the project has been finished resulting in the most complete listing of Version Updates in the entire universe ;)
• Project Entropia Universe Guide kicked-off. The basic infrastructure is set up and first guides have been completed. Next Island granted permission to integrate their official guides, many thanks!
• Project Entropia Universe History has been kicked off. The basic infrastructure has been set up and right now there are already 300+ historic records.
• Complementing the Entropia Universe History Project basic calendars like the event calendar as well as the EntropiaTimeline have been introduced.
• Also deriving from the Entropia History Project is EntropiaToday which is currently I would say in alpha stage. EntropiaToday is displaying links to wiki pages of current events. Various RSS feeds of EntropiaToday are available already. Right now you can see it in action in the sidebar of the EP frontpage as well as in the sidebar of cashplanets.com.
• RSS Feeds/Items are now available for almost everthing on the wiki, no matter wether it's just the name of the current VU or a collection of whole pages, example: Planet Calypso Area Guides. If you can think of any use-cases, just call.
• You can now share any wiki page on social media using the addtoany module. It can be found on the upper right of each page in the same line like the pagename. Try it out!

• New: Hunt The Thing
• New: Curb the Oratan Food Supply
• Updated: Category:Wallpaper
• If you create or improve or find a page you think is notable, just call.

Much more happened on the wiki but I think that should do it for the first report. Looks like a busy month, doesn't it?
