So, I'm currently at level 62 pistoleer, and would not mind getting just a bit closer to Commando, so I started looking at some possible skillchips to boost my progress somewhat.

Both skills are around the 8k mark, with LWT being slightly higher than HG. I looked for 10 PED TT+ chips in order to actually see a difference in skills after chipping, and then noticed something peculiar.

As you can see from the screenshot, I'm looking at a 12 PED LWT chip, which would give me about 27 additional points in LWT. At the same time, a 17 PED HG chip would add about 25, despite HG being at a lower level then LWT.

How can a skillchip with an additional 5 PED TT value offer less skills for a skill at a lower level? Just for argument's sake, here's a screenshot of the skills in the skill screen:

As you can see, LWT is a bit higher up to the next level, which *could* possibly explain a partial skillgain, but I still am puzzled seeing the difference is a full 2 skillpoints, even with a 5 PED higher chip.

Would this indicate that not all skills function the same way when it comes to chipping?

    very intresting.

Appears to be a bug unless other skills influence chipping. Which i never thought they did? does look very peculiar...perhaps it's a bug? dunno

The way I understand it is that all skills are not valued equally (by valued I mean TT value). If you look around at different skill chips this quickly becomes apparent.

The skill curve is periodic. The difficulty does not constantly increase, it goes up and down.

Skills are hardest to get at points ending in 500 or 000, and easiest at points ending at 250 and 750.

In your case, your LWT is close to 8250, so it's in the easy phase, while your Handgun is close to 8000 and therefore in the hard phase.

In other words, one point at 8199 is easier to get (lower chip volume) than a point at 7933, and this is why you see these results.

    Thank you for that.

Oh, and if admin is in need of LWT I still got 10k+ I wouldn't mind getting rid of.
