Well, I thought I would take a chance on this type of a post.

I remember when I was a child growing up in the United States we had the great gasoline strike, this was to cause the gas companies to lower their prices on gasoline.

I was thinking the other day now that I have been playing this game for almost 3 years now that it would be nice to have some of the old systems back online. For example the beauty, taming, space flights, beacons just to list a few.

I would like to poll the general population to see if a strike could help us get what we want a bit faster. Now I don't want to seem as if I am complaining about any thing. I know this is a free game to play meaning no monthly fees, blah blah blah.

I do think that MA and FPC should reintroduce the old systems before bringing on new systems such as the Tier program that still seems to make little or no sense on how it works exactly.

    So just a simple poll.

    Should we Strike or not?

strike? how do you stike when you are not working.

you mean boycott. well theres a case for that, but if you want to go down that route you need to at least have a set of demands and goals, rather than just shaking fists. and be aware a guy once arranged a sit down protest and got locked for a week. (but then if you are boycotting, being locked is hardly a problem...).

set out some goals then ask the question, at this point its just another way to whinge (like i know i do).

all those old systems are getting a major reworking so their usefull, so ofc other ideas may be released first, most updates are from ma do doubt getting the platform stable to a point they can give planet partners the go ahead.

sitting around whining on and trying to call a strike will just fuck things up more and wont in any way get them to work faster.

id rather they take their time and get it right than rush it out bugs and all.

I don't think boycotting will help. I think that the less a player base plays or uses a system is a natural indication that they need to step up their plans.

Yes i would also like to see some stuff back, then again i would also like to see some new stuff.

But in general there is still a lot of things for me left to do as the game currently is now, so no rush and no need to boycot. If people don't like the game they should just stop playing, is a lot easier.

I rather have the system implemented without to much trouble afterwards than just implementing it because some people want them in the game. We all know what happened with the VU10 that was implemented a bit sooner then MA had planned (at least that is what I think).

Could you elaborate a bit on this "great gasoline strike?"

I would love to read up on it.

How did it work out? :poke:

I sure don't remember any gas strike in the US. I remember a lot of spam emails trying to get people to do this, but no nationwide strike that did anything.

As for EU - take a look on another forum for a person called alphageek and see how MA locked him for posting a message about having a sit down strike in EU. I imagine you can find the threads if you search for "free alphageek" or something similar.

MA pointed out at the time a user even posting about a strike was against the EULA and did result in a lock of that user.
