Make your own personal Entropia Blog - How to

One of EP's features is a Blog function on the forum.

Here you can make one blog, and post about everything you wish (as long as it's within our normal forum rules).

It is easy to make a blog - and you can categories your entries and by that, make blogs of different topics.

To find the blog function, look in the header navigation bar and find the icon with a note and pencil:



When you click on that you get the blog menu up under the normal navigation bar (be aware, that this is the new navigation in the forum; When you choose a category section, the specific menu will be underneath the normal nav-bar).

In the menu you find:

• My Blog (yYur own personal blog. In here you can see your blog entries)
• Recent Entries (Recent entries posted by forum members)
• Most popuar (Blogs can be rated)
• Member blogs (All blogs made)
• Blog settings (Your own personal blog settings)

It is very simple to make a new blog. You just go to the button *Create new post* and start writing ...



You will then get a text box looking like this:



If you scroll down there will be several options to the post. You can even save it as a draft and wait publishing it.

After you posted it, you may see it says 'uncategorised' with a link under the new blog entry. That's because it's possible to make categories for the entries, you make.

To make those you enter your blog settings in the Blog menu and choose *Manage Categories* in the left menu.

In here you can add new categories, and choose the one which fits for your blog entries.

There's a lot of other features in the Blog menu, and I haven't yet discovered them all - my best advice is to try it out :)

You find all the recent blog posts listed up with the newest one at the very top, and then listed down:



In the profile menu next to the recent entries, you also find some nice functions, it is fx possible to search in the blog entries;




As said, I only just began to discover all this myself - feel free to add your own discoveries to this thread, which I will stick - and I hope to see some nice blog entries from your people.

The blog entry is like the old 'diary' - and you are welcome to post about Entropia, Your own real life, interests, other games etc. - (and I said that before, but will mention it again) lAS LONG as it is within the forum rules and includes normal nice behavior and conduct - you know what I mean ;)

Thank you for taking the time to put this together Lykke, it's appreciated. The blog was one of the first things I tested out, and I'm sure I'm going to make good use of it to record the crazy stuff I get myself into :D ... ok, some of the more serious and fun stuff too.

It's a nice feature, and I hope others will enjoy it too.

I reckon I'll make a blog here. I originally intended to make just an ANF one but it might leak out into other stuff.

You're welcome :) I started my own blog today; which is about Life, the universe and everything :D Purpose it to act like a creative blog about the administration and work on EP but will of course also act like a RL diary - everything mixed up ... Enjoy :)

That's something I can look into :) Don't see why it shouldn't be possible.

Is there a way that we can be notified when a new blog entry has been made, other than the sidebar box?

It would be nice to know when someone has either created an entry, or added to another blog.

They also show up in the Recent Activity. And if you follow people, you will see their new blog posts in "Recent activity" as well.
