Cyrene Welcomes MindStar9 to their Writing Team

Planet Cyrene would like to announce our latest addition to the writing team from Entropia's very own community.We are pleased to welcome MindStar9.We have already enjoyed MS9's talented work in previous collaborations, but we have now decided to make it official and bring MS9 on board.

MS9 has been put in charge of the Vida storyline and character development that will be the next big reveal into the Cyrene lore. Along with this position MS9 will also handle in-game live events that involve storyline expansion and moving the Cyrene story forward.She will be in charge of the Cyrene game Lore and to make sure it stays accurate for future players to enjoy, and past ones to remember.

We are all excited to have a great storyteller come on board to help us share our vision and tell our stories. Her talents as a creative writer and editor, with great general knowledge of the Entropia Universe make MS9 the perfect candidate for the job.

Please help us welcome MS9 to the team and we look forward to sharing the fruits of this new relationship soon.

Thanks girlfriend ... and yes, storylines and storytelling is key to each planet, but we have all had our experiences with that over the years in one way, shape, or form. Writing is something that I'm passionate about, and to be given this opportunity is huge for me. It's multi-faceted with much more to be revealed, so the community should stay tuned to EP for sure.

When I created my own profession several years ago and went strictly media, it was the best thing I could have done. It presented many opportunities for me, and eventually landed me on staff here to write for the front page, and ultimately your magazine, which was the most awesome writing experience of all, so thank you.

Unfortunately, that information isn't available at this time. I can tell you that Ed and his teams are intensely involved non-stop. We have yet to have a Skype discussion without multiple interruptions, or him being pulled away for yet another meeting. I know that they are working fast and furious, as well as testing everything to make sure it works properly. He hates testing and killing a mob that he created - they're like his children. :)

As soon as a date is available, I'm sure Ed will reveal it to the community.

ON ANOTHER NOTE

Thanks to Ed, I now have an opportunity to expand my creative writing in ways that will add more dimension. The invite to the Cyrene writing team was a complete surprise, but of course, most welcomed. We've had many discussions about it all, and I can say that what has been announced today is just the beginning of where Cyrene is headed.

What I would like to do, is give the community a little more insight that I'm allowed to share with regard to the writing and storylines, because it's quite multi-layered.

I mentioned before that the Cyrene storyline goes on forever, and that's not an exaggeration in the least. Writing a storyline for Vida, who is a key character in the official Cyrene storyline, will be quite exciting, but ... with all of my writing involvement, I will be following story arcs that are created by Ed, so he will be the driving force behind where all of this goes.

In addition to character development, I will also be presenting role-playing storylines that involve not only MS9, but Vida and others as well. And again, I am held responsible for staying true to the Cyrene official storyline in doing so, as are others, which is something that I will help to oversee.

There will also be other writing projects as time goes on that expand the storylines into other mediums (that I'm excited about), which is one of the reasons I have been saying that everyone should stay tuned to EP for other things that will be revealed as we move forward. There are other writers on staff working on other projects, and we are all supported by the graphics team as well, whose work you've already seen at EP and in the June issue of the EntropiaTimes more extensively.

Ed and I work very well together, and he has welcomed and appreciated my efforts, especially with my most recent article at EP about the "Committed Mission" - because he was trying to figure out a way to get MS9 back to Cyrene, yet transition her off the other planets. He liked the storyline I came up with, and it gives us a new direction with regard to the secret and covert operations that MS9 will continue to be involved in with Senator Calvin Neff going forward. There will be more regarding this, but that will be revealed at a later date.

I will also be working closely with Ed as it relates to in-game event activities and other things that pertain to storyline expansion. I will be part of a team who will be documenting Cyrene history, evolution, and development, which should be quite exciting.

I realize that an author isn't liked by everyone, and that holds true no matter what type of writing is done, but the final word on everything in this case comes from Ed, so you know that when something is actually published, that Ed has given it his blessing. However, Ed also has a team of people who look at everything as well, and they give their input, feedback, and suggestions if they have ideas about changing anything. This held true with both the first role-playing article in the June issue of the EntropiaTimes that revealed more about Cyrene, as well as the most recent "Committed Mission" article at EP.

It's important that everything stay true to the Cyrene official storyline, but of course there is also creative liberty given with expanding a story with the role-playing that doesn't detract from the official storyline. We both envision that more members of the community will be inspired to become a part of the role-playing aspect of Cyrene and in turn, also become a part of its documented history and evolution going forward once the planet is launched.

I realize that little is known at this point in time, but we ask that you allow this to play out and see where it goes. I think you might even be surprised. :)

Thanks Calin ... there's lots of pre-production going on now, along with all the planet business, so when we have something ready we'll be sure to get it posted. We will only be posting at EP, until the Cyrene website is complete and some of the other projects get posted that are being worked on.
