Afterworld Introduction and Upcoming News

A ok, thanks for your help. There is a land line about 150 miles from my house... :P dont think ill be using it. Roumer is that fiber-optics will be strung here in the next 5 years, but im not holding my breath.

Afterworld is now in the process of being updated to Alpha World 9.9

The next update will be 10.0 Survival the commercial release world hopefully late this year or early next.

I will post more details on the update once completed later today :)

One of the main challenges we face with 9.9 is weight limits has been introduced.

Interesting times ahead, no more carrying tonnes of goods in your back pocket.

Well, the AW: Survival tech demo is out and it's a little incomplete. I have not visited it but I hear that you cannot enter buildings yet.

I remain hopeful about the future of Afterworld.

Yes the tech demo for Survival's engine and platform is out atm using the old game graphics and facilities with some corporation terminals added.
It is more of a play around and see for testers of AW to find out what issues there are before Survival is released in the future.

I looked at AW years ago when I first heard about it. I did`nt dowload or play though. I just can`t help thinking it`s just a tool of the Russian Mafia to cash in on the RCE craze. It would be ripe for exploit. I could be wrong...but I could be right. I think EU is enough for me. If I stop EU I don`t think I`ll go for more RCE games. After all they are there to make money not give it away.

If they release a legit way to deposit and withdraw, I'll accept it as a big player. And I'm sure there are people who use EU to launder, just think about it.

There is rumor of a TT for the future and withdrawl will come eventually.
At this stage it still in concept design phase, so yes, still a year or so I think personally :)

This is more a game I play in my break time from EU.
It is good for that since it is not the final product.

idk, each to their own really, this is good for when PED runs out imho.
AWD lasts a long time in AW, I am at 6k AWD and counting, only going up, down to create some armour, but always rising there which is a breath of fresh air to me :)
