*Adopt a Newbie* Newbie Society

I have applied in-game and been accepted to the "ANF" society. Now what? Are there any noobie events? What is the usual wait time for "adoption" by one of the other societies? (Just curious.) I am working on adding TP sites (have 22 so far) and doing the missions. However, my game-play will change based on whether or not I get "adopted." If this is a long process, it might be better to seek out a society on my own.

ANF is as useful, or un-useful as you make it. Ask lots of questions , team up with other players and do something. Most players in there are new, and have the same skill levels as you. There are also people in ANF that have been playing for a while, and share their knowable, do tp runs, and will show players where to go sweat, or hunt.

In regards to: now what? That is all up to you, and your situation. If you deposit 10-20 bucks then you can go out mining, hunting, crafting. If you’re a non-deposit then you will have to sweat to earn ped. I recommend teaming up with people form ANF and taking breaks to go out picking up TP’s.

I started as a non-deposit and did not like how slow sweating is, and it’s low return. So I put in 10 bucks and got myself started. I first went out hunting and burned most of the ped in a day. With the rest I started mining and sweating my way back into some ped. I have had my ups and downs. As that is how this game goes.

As far as, how long it takes to get adopted? It’s all up to you to market yourself, and have Socs wanting to adopt you. If you notice, there is a lot of talk about “influx of new people”. No one can just fill out an app and hit post, then expect to get adopted within days. I posted my app on 14th November. I check out the forum: Greetings, Hello, Goodbye. I notice a lot of new players who did post left a short, “hello I’m new…” 1 or 2 sentences later they where done.

So, wanting market myself better then the influx of others looking to get adopted, I posted this the next day.

I also joined an event, the link is in my sig bellow. Along with joining Adopt a Newbie soc. Made sure I used word or other programs to try and fix any spelling or grammar errs, and made sure to not embellish as nothing is worse for a soc then to kick the guy they just invited for lying to get in.

That same day I was contract by a Soc who read my post. 16th November, I was contract by Dalas with two offers and I accepted one of them. I now have been with that soc for over a week now, and I enjoy being a member.

So what’s my point? If all I did was put in an app, I might still be waiting. I went out and did something about it, instead of sitting in a long line of apps.

These forms are for you to find information, ask questions, and market yourself as the perfect candidate for a soc looking for new players.

my name is ardvark splif narmova (in-game) I'd like to adopt a newbie or 2. i've been back playing since 2004.

Hello My ingame name is Kryptheo Theo El. Collectively I have been only playing for about 20 days, although I registered since about 2 months ago, but I left the game because I lost interest reason being it's my first MMORPG experience and I felt so lost being a newbie. I went into playing another MMORPG but in the back of my head I wanted to try Entropia again. So here I am, please let me know how can I become part of this ANF society.

Also I hope there would be a willing soul out there who wish to be my mentor. I have just started into hunting and have been hunting Daikaiba's. I have also been trying to develop my Cryogenic Attack mindforce(currently at level 5), have been using Cryogenic in my hunting and I am currently at Cryo Attck 3. I use Opallo as my backup to finish off the mob, so you can imagine my Cryo stats is more progressive than my rifle stat which is at level 1 or 2 so far. I am also interested in mining and crafting but do not have enough PEDs to pursue them right now.

So if there's anybody out there who might be interested in mentoring me then I would be very grateful. For now though if I dont find a mentor then I would really like to be a part of this ANF society.

To join the society you just need to find a society terminal and search for the society. Be sure to search for "*Adopt", including the "*" or you may not find it.

I joined this society a few days ago. Though haven't been on too much past couple days to talk to them...but from what I've seen, very awesome people in this soci. Could be a bit more active, but very friendly. Maybe I'm on at the wrong times to chat with people, plus like I've said, past couple days have been hectic. Still, I'm really glad I joined. I joined EU a few days ago as well, shortly before joining this soci...so it was nice to pretty much immediately get into a soci and meet new people.

I agree with above post ! I only see a few people online in the society but they all help me . Just wish more activity :P

It is very long time since someone in ANF society posted something about ANF society, so i gonna post something to let others and newbies know what's going on in ANF society.

First my ingame avatar name is Yao-Te WildHeart Huang, I come from Taiwan. Now we got around 11 active players in the whole ANF society 7 of them can be seen at least once a week, and 5 of the 7 are coming from Asia, i don't know why so much Asian in ANF either . So it will be another problems for European or American to chatting with us, so they are often find quite boring in ANF society so leaving faster .

To post it is want to tell newbies that we are still here kinda inactive tho :p, so if any newbies wants to learning things or asking questions etc... can just join us, we are very happy to help you guys :), and we are a very open society free to join and free to left no reason needed :)
